Ok thanks I willno it literally took me like 5 min to dewax two mason jars full of oil with my 10gal chamber. just try it first before you use a pump.
I had some issues with clogging too. Good idea to mix. So you think if I dry sift a pound I would get a similar yield to as if I just blew the bud? Im excited to try lolyield is very good, It can clog easier so I usually do a 70/30 or 60/40 mix of trim and sift.

I would use a tube and blast it using the method I said when you mix it with trim. Insane yieldsSo last time I used dry sift I didn't have an extractor so I soaked it in a mason jar for like 15 minutes and then poured it through a coffee filter. Should I do this again to avoid clogging or do you guys think using an extractor tube would be better?
Where are you getting material from? Are you sure it hasn't been sprayed with anything? Have you had the same results from multiple sources? As far as not being able to get it stable? One growers material I get always comes out gold but sappy for some reason and I know it's not machine trimmed or sprayed with anything in flower. So I always have to crumble his stuff or use an ISO butane blendAlso if anyone cares lol....after doing a second tube of the same material I think me flipping the slab is maybe what caused it to turn to crumble. I had some trouble getting it to flip lol. I was more careful this time and it still looks clear like the 1st batch did before it turned to crumble. It's still not very stable at room temp tho.
@Graywolf we weren't talking about purging though. We were talking about hooking up a vacuum pump to a Büchner funnel for dewaxing bho. There's no way for tane fumes to get into the pump?one reason why we change our pump oil after each vac session. To rid of contaminants it accumulates during purging.

Ya there's a tiny bit of solvent when it's in the vacuum oven purging, but nothing close to dewaxing. There's not 2000ml of straight liquid tane when you're purging.When you purge, your doing the same thing. Only your using a vac chamber and said pump. Both are vaccing solvents thru the pump.

And also been running a lot of crude, yup standard around 25 to 30 lbs before it runs clear when running and that includes flooding the column for five minutes to get as much out from the first initial push. Obviously you don't make crude or distillate. I have tweaked some of my methods and have gone down to using 20 lbs of solvent over 4 lbs of material for shatter runs. I guess I have to thank you for that. As for being new, close loop trapping for a little over a year now. So I guess yes decently. I also don't work for anyone, as I can tell you sound like a lab hand for that extraction company "Quail Extracts", saw the "bent"syrup lol (cannalean, and a opiate cough syrup reference rip off that's disgusting to say the least).haha ok... I would be shocked to see that much solvent returning piss yellow oil. what "solvent tank" tank are you running? any by the way, there are recovery tanks AND solvent tanks, just depends on the application (whats your IG, id like to see the people stating its not a recovery tank). and whoever you're talking to that says running 16lbs through a column isn't enough is dead wrong. if that were the case then why would I be getting back 10-17% returns on trim? and thats also what every big extractor I know runs...im @quail_extracts on ig if you wanna check my page.

My nickname is Quail, so it's actually my company, along with a partner. We currently have our lawyers working on getting us licensed for the new rec market in Cali. And yes, I do make crude and a buddy makes our distilite. Thats what goes in our Bent syrup and Real Heal topical balm. I'd rather have 75% thc crude with a smaller yield than more crude at 60%. I run my crude the same way I would run good material for shatter, 16lbs of solvent for 4lbs of material. I've had multiple people say my crude looks like it's already been winterized. As far as the Bent Syrup being like a opiate knock off...I can totally see that, it was actually my partners idea. But we don't market it like the other cannalean companies, we have bartenders make non alcoholic mixed drinks with it at events, the only people who even get the reference are people familiar with "lean". I've gotten a few people I know off of the opiate by switching to our syrup. And countless vets love it because they can just take a teaspoon before bed and it helps them sleep through the night with their ptsd.
