The owner of a local co-op that I work with should me some molding in some of my flowers. Although it looked like caterpillar damage to me, he said " it was mold from the buds being to dense, and not allowing moisture to escape during drying/curing", and "that there is nothing that can be done about it do to the density of the flower(no matter how well I dried them it would have still happened)"..does this sound right?

Drop the temp of your drying area.

The lower your temp the longer you can extend your dry time. Must ask yourself tho, what can you do to limit the mold spores getting into your grow area? HEPA filtering is a darn good step if those spores can be found in the air where you are.

Break up a nug during curing once in awhile to make sure its not molding up .If you see mold again, just spread it out and let it air out more.
