Well I guess springtails are beneficial in moderation but they don't jump and it doesn't look like they have that little fork on there ass but it also kinda looks like them but then again it doesnt.. I've found all of them on on the rim of this fabric pot and only two on top of soil so I think the infestation is new..

root/soil mites
They might be soil slash root mites...I have neem oil and sticky strips...I don't understand what DE+Drybags are Googles explanation isn't the right one lmao..

I've been talking to Gnick but he's a Lil slow on the reply today lol....I haven't done anything to the soil or the plants at all I just noticed the bugs today..I'm supposed to water today but don't want to till I get a definite answer or more of an accurate answer I'm trying to get a better video but my phones shit I'll get one though

It’s tough! If you have an iPhone, there are free loupe apps that possibly could make it easier to get a magnified picture! I don’t know about Samsung and the rest! You got a good look at it, and should be able to figure it out or narrow it down! Usually if they move Fast they are predatory or not harmful to the plants! But not always! L O L!

Yeah I'm working on it I'll figure it out shortly..I started another seed yesterday in soil and watered it .when I looked in my tent today they were all over that wet pot I think they're looking for water...as it's been a week since I watered last

I'm gonna go with spring tails I guess...any tips on how to control them so they don't over populate??

Yeah, springtails and a wet environment seem to go hand-in-hand! No, I’ve never had them! Probably letting your soil dryback and may be a little DE on the surface! You probably won’t be able to get rid of them, but you can kind of keep them under control! Don’t know what you’re growing in! From what I’ve seen moisture control, seems to be the ticket! Folks have a tendency not to let their soil dry back far enough! And leave runoff laying around instead of cleaning it up! That kind of stuff!

Yeah they were all over that Lil pot I watered.. so your right there with the wet environment .. I have two plants in 5 gallon pots with happy frog potting soil.. I haven't watered them in seven days so it's pretty dry...but today is watering day for one of them so I'll probably have a better video in a bit if they flock to the water..I guess if there spring tails I'll be OK if not the plant will wilt when the roots begin to be eaten..time will tell..

Yeah, depending on your rh And if you didn’t add any perlite, those things will probably take quite a while to dry out! And I don’t think they go after live routes! Sounds like they just eat dead, and decaying material!

What I'm working with I added like 1000ml maybe 1200ml to each pot of perlite

Looks good! I would consider getting the pots Elevated a little off of the runoff, trays! It just exposes a little more surface area to encourage dry back deeper into the soil! And mop up the runoff! I think you’re on the right track!

There are drain racks underneath the pots in the saucers and I always get rid of runoff

Lol It ain't of my own doing I just started growing Gnick has helped me out tremendously

Sweet! Grow those little puppies out! And keep us updated if you can! And welcome! If you haven’t been here!

I'll keep ya posted...I've been here for a bit not to long just really been talking to nick as I find all this information in one place overwhelming so I just picked him in the beginning as his info sounded legit and it turned out for the better
