I have bred a ton on autoflowers in the past. BTW kudos to you supporting Mandelorian that guy is cool I listened to some of his podcasts on youtube he is very knowledgable with autos.
So with auto-flowers the males will almost always show their sex first. Usually this happens pretty early on if you get close enough and look hard it is very common to see pollen sacks forming as early as 2-3 weeks in. This makes it really nice because they also usually all show at the same time so long as they were all germinated together. I go through my tent and yank all the ones starting to show balls. The females will usually start to show sex 1 to 2 weeks later. This gives you plenty of time to strategize which males to breed with WAY before the females even get started. With some strains the sexual maturity gap between males/females is so far apart that I will do 2 different seed runs. I germinate one batch then 2 weeks later I start the second batch. This way I can line up the timing just right because you want to hit the fertility window perfect with your females. The females from the first batch will be perfect timing and will be ready to fertilize right when the males from the second run start spitting pollen. Contrary to popular belief it has been my experience that the males are usually smaller than the females when dealing with autos. Every time I have bred them the males flower faster and stay shorter than the females. Also it has been my experience that you will have more females than males. If you grow out 10 seeds 2 or 3 will be males. Hope all this insight helps. Pretty soon you will get the hang of it and start creating big beautiful healthy auto seeds so that you can have stock for years to come. I have dozens of auto strains in my seed vault that I have bred at home. Some people say leave the breeding to the breeders but I disagree. You can do it at home and create really healthy stock. Yes, its true that sometimes you will get hermie issues when breeding with certain auto strains but most of the time you don't. If you get banners in your future seed batch just throw them away and try a new cross. usually when i breed autos Im doing a handfull of strains at a time and I ALWAYS get some nice keeper crosses. Don't be afraid to experiment.
Here is a few example photos of some of the Autos that I have bred. All of these pics came from auto seeds that I crossed and everything is outdoor...
