There is a breeder called Mdanzig, he has been breeding autos for years but stopped selling feminized autos to concentrate on on regular autos, he has a strain called blue streak, the plant smells like blueberries and lemon pledge and are smallish but seriously high test, if you can get it ( bc bud depo has a few pacs left) and bred it to a larger strain you would have something really special, just saying, out of a 4 plant grow 2 were males, the pics are the females, leaves are allmost black with nice colored flower, very very high test.

Beautiful plant. Do they sell those seeds in the states? That is another reason im trying to make seeds. I hate buying them online. Dont mind spending the money, but always feels so sketchy. I only order from local state seed sellers.

Yes, I would buy the Mdanzig strain in a hot second if it was in the states. That shit looks absolutely incredible would LOVE to get my hands on some male stock! Having to deal with BS U.S. customs is always a headache, I have had so many seed shipments confiscated that I lost count.

Are any of you auto guys running 6400k bulbs or higher? I really am starting to suspect with autos, if they adapted to 24/0. They might use the red shift of the sun as the angle change. To figure what time of the year it is.

I had this same issue with fast buds auto plant under a 4 bulb t5.
Super slow growth, wouldnt preflower.

Its almost like the lacking of red tricks the plant into thinking its early spring.
Ive grown a bunch of photos under this baby light and have grown wayyyyy faster.

Its the only thing I can possibly think of.

3500k bulb ship's today. Should have it in a few days. Here are the 3 plants I'll likely keep. Assuming its 1 boy and 2 girls.

Hoping in a week things will explode with growth and sex.

#6 is a lady. Found the littlest set of pistols on the new node.

Kind of bummed, was hoping it was a dude lol.
But it was the best growing plant out of the bunch, took alot of abuse.

Now we wait and hope one of the other 3 are a male.

If #11 is a male, (another fast growing one) Id be happy.
Then I can still hunt for citrus on the next round.

Think what we will do is.

If the next plant turns out to be female. We will order some sliver and just reverse it.
By that time - we will see if the t5 3500k bulb is helping.

Will give the one female plant time to mature abit, and produce more fem seeds when the reversed plant drops.

I just picked up some CS! Do you have experience using it on autos?

I think I might just order some regardless.

If the citrus pheno hasnt sexed yet, Likely a girl.

I have not doing any CS work before. Ill just spray one of the tops on the citrus one if its a girl.
Will be easy to isolate.

Use that to self and pollinate the one that just sexed today.
If the last one turns out to be a boy. It will sex before the one drops pollen.

Can decide from there.

If I had more seeds Id likely take you up on that. Likely would be too old by the time pollen got here from you growing it. But thank you.

The worst plant turned out to be a girl. So I tossed it. No point in breeding with shit.

Down to 2 more unsexed plants.

Should know the next one in a few days to a week.
It could be a male? It does appear to be growing differently.

Update on making fem auto seeds...

Some say. Selfing causes a lot of herms, and you need to clone the auto to reverse.
Some say Selfing is the most stable, and you only get a few odd balls.

Some say reversing causes unstable lines with high % of junk.
Some say reversing is fine.
Some say S1s are fine, but S3+ of reversing can lead to herming.

Just endless conflicting info.

That is why I really do hope to get some male pollen.
It just removes alot of questions, and know the seeds should be fine.

The citrus one still has a chance of sexing as a male. But its going to sex in a week or so. The stacking of the nodes is way different. So maybe?

You can clone autos.

The idea is breed with a plant that doesnt have hormonal blockers.

and to reverse the clone.

Though I just found a recent 2020 thread on AFN, that makes it sound like its ok to do all methods.

I nver said you couldn't clone autos.

The purpose of a clone is to keep a plant alive indefinitely and not flower. You can't do that with autos you are not extending the life of the plant at all by taking that cut. You are just moving a branch to new soil and losing 2 weeks of growth. Those clones are going to finish no matter what exactly the same time as the plant they were cut from

You may also be listening to too much bro science about hormone blockers and DNA blah blah blah, genetics doesn't exactly work like that and neither does reversing... its a specific acetylene gas blocking tool it does not affect the DNA in noticeable ways like you are saying.
