yeah, you bring up a good point, and i know you are right. i think i just want to give myself excuses not to spend a thousand dollars for a co2 setup.
i know there are benefits to adding co2. your plants can take more light and handle higher temperature/humidity. faster growth and 10-20 percent increase in yield.
seems like everyone has good things to say about adding co2. i guess i will see because i am going to be running co2 for the first time next month. hope it is worth the investment.
thanks for all the input guys.

Lets say that you pull 2 pounds per grow and a 15% increase will equal approx 4.8oz's. At $300oz = $1440
So the initial investment of 1K will be paid off your first grow. After that you just pay for the tank of CO2 or Propane for your Burner. I pay about $30 month for my CO2. My average grow is about 4 months so thats an extra $120 to get 6ozs extra.

Good luck everyone,

I am running a sealed CO2 room for the first time with a strain I have been growing for 3 years. The difference is very noticeable at 5 weeks.

thanks for the info. will be running it in the next couple of weeks here.

Why dont you do your research another opinionated dumb ass with no experience!! Fucking whinig about greenhouse gases when you dont even know what your talking about, thinking your little piddily Co2 boost is going too ruin the EARTH!! How do I HAVE BAD ENGLISH?? You want some Bad English?? Why dont you stick the end of that Co2 line too a gas mask and breath real hard and deep!! Then we'll all get the benefits of you using Co2!!!! Shit I would even pay for a refill tank if it takes that much!! lol! YAFDA!!!PEACE!!!!

i shouldn't even respond to you. just gave you bad rep. this forum should be about gardening and mmj. you need to chill out and smoke some weed man. you asked me why co2 was bad for the environment. i told you. that simple. i know that growers using co2 in their grow rooms isn't the cause of global warming, and that is not what i was implying. i was responding to your post.

now back to the topic...the original post
Alot of people I talk to say that yo definetly have to have C02 enrichment in your garden. But then again there are also some people that don't. My question is would you consider C02 enrichment like with a C02 tank or generator a nesecity in your garden for good crop or can you go without it and still get good results? Any and all feedback is very much appreciated. Thanks:bubblez:

again i am going to say that you can still get amazing results without adding co2. co2 is expensive to set up and is really more of an investment than anything else in my garden. also, adding co2 will not give you a better quality product. a thousand + dollars is a lot of money for some people (like me).
for those who can afford it. i say give it a try and see what happens, but i really want to stress that it is not necessary.
adding co2 increases productivity, not quality.
sleep89, you can get great results without adding co2. it's like lebdog said...
C02 will get you that little extra push to 11 on the volume dial. If you are cool with 10, it's not a big deal.

The addition of co2 also removes intake/exhaust aka entrance/exit for outside unwanted pests...

Just another point.

PS: co2 increases quality as well, do not fool yourself.

i read what i wrote, then i read what you wrote. you don't make sense. seems like adding co2 might give you a bad attitude and a poor understanding of the english language. you are full of disrespect kid. you should stop it with me.

did anyone here even say that co2 would hurt the plant? did i say that? NO. you are misquoting AGAIN. learn how to read and write. then post. getting so annoying.

where do these people come from?!?!?

leave me alone. stop misquoting me. seriously. if you want an intelligent argument fine, but this is just plain stupid. neither of you guys make any sense. stop posting over my posts with your bad english. you aren't making sense and you obviously don't understand me. you are just being annoying.

Can't C02 help your girls finisher quicker too????

yes, i have read this same thing. days to maturity actually has to do with how much light the plant takes in, and has nothing to do with actual days. since the plant can take in more light with added co2, the answer would be yes.

Think I am gonna give the ghetto bucket a try, my room is only 4x8 and the whole setup is already laying around the garage and pantry.

Any chance of leaving the pissing match at rollitup, sucks reading 3 pages of bickering just to get some good info, just my 2 cents :fighting0040:

Feels good to be connected again!

a tank costs 300 dollars initially, then 30 for refills. a sentinel regulator is about 150. a wall timer is 20. i love using co2! for the cost, why the heck not?! but, i look at co2 as just one part of optimizing the grow room. temp and humidity need to always stay on point, not letting heat get out of control, especially if youre like me and you have 4000w in flower! i still have yet to get of one of those controllers, i just have a timer that kicks on 15 min per hour while the lights are on, works fine. i really want the CAP xgc-1 for my whole flower room once i can afford it, but cheapest online is still 650 bucks!

greenhouse gases. have you heard of global warming? do your research man. you are either misunderstanding or misquoting me. look at my previous posts. maybe your bad english is the problem here.
i never said that plants don't need co2 (why would i say something like that? seriously. look at my posts). i said that you (the grower) don't have to add co2. that is all.

Lets sit down for a little education.
Is Co2 a "greenhouse" gas? Yes
However 99+% of all bottled Co2 is a by product of various manufacturing and distillation processes that is captured to be re-used in myriad other industries. Using it to enrich your grow chamber is probably the most ecological way to re-use the by product. In the tightly sealed environment you (should be) are using that plants are using the vast majority and turning it into oxygen. Ever notice how easy it is to breath in a big grow room or greenhouse? We are creating more pollution and greenhouse gasses using the copious amounts of coal generated electricity than we ever will using Co2 enrichment in our gardens, to the contrary we are at least temporarily storing it in the plant matter were it is released when we burn it. If you vape or cook the green matter, the Co2 remains stored and will continue to be stored there for quite some time depending on how it is disposed/re-used (compost).
OBTW its "bad English".....

Semantically yours.

Sorry bro, i hadnt even read the entire thread when i posted that. It seems as if its really our friend DW that needs a lesson.
DW if you had an education beyond the 2nd grade or if maybe you had taken a biology or even an environmental science class you might have a slightly better understanding of green plant evolution. take your pedantic misinformed rants elsewhere.

Ps. enriching your grow room with Co2 will increase the size and density of your crop.....light dependent. you have to have the lumens...
