Hahaha! Those are no electricians...2 of them are my partners (one of which is my daughters boyfriend) and one is a friend which is evident by the beer bottle;) All the electrical work was done by electricians though to the tune of $15,000. Both my partners want to quit their jobs and be there every day all day long especially since they spend 1/2 the time playing seriously cut throat ping pong or some game or another on the playstation or Xbox or whatever they play with:-) I just tell them "patience grasshoppers....it won't be long!" Unfortunately we still need their wages each month to pull this off! Money invested to this point is right at $54,000 and that is because we do everything we possibly can ourselves, the only new things we have bought are the lights, bulbs, wiring, lumber, soil and insurance. Every single other thing is from Craigslist, Goodwill or some garage sale or thrift store or from friends. I spend every waking moment putting out fires and figuring out how to do all this, how to find what I need without spending more money than we have, and how to get it to all come together. I know more about codes, inspections, restrictions and every single road block that can be put in your way than I ever would care to know but someone has to deal with this stuff and for us it is me. It looks like a big operation for the most part and yet it has been a family/friends effort for sure and I cannot thank everyone that has helped enough!! I am very blessed:-)
Babies are going crazy...growing so fast! It is so much fun to try to manage a couple thousand little ladies actually and that is the best part of the whole effort for me:-)
I am serious about helping anyone else out in the future that dares to do something like this! It is very daunting but it can be done and I am a wealth of knowledge on all this now. I have to date helped 6 different businesses get their paperwork in order and helped them to see what they needed to do to get to the point of a pending inspection. I am just happy to have been able to help them. It is a learning curve for us all and I happen to be a good student!
