Can Colombian be forced to flower

So I have these seeds that when grown under 12-12 take 6 months to finish. My friend has two growing now. One is 11' tall and halfway through flower. The other is 12" tall and just starting to flower. I'm thinking about growing them 18-6 for two months then switching to 10-14. Has anyone tried this.

How many hours of dark does it take to make these finish @ 3' tall, or is it even possible without cloning?

Thats what I was thinking too. But I dont think it will hurt to run 18-6 for a couple months before I clone. Maybe the shock of going from 18 to 11 will speed things up. In the mean time, I'll be looking for 100% pure indica male.

Any clone of from a mature plant can be forced to flower, but from seed, it will flower when it's mature enough. No preflowers? It ain't mature enough.

I advise going down to the local grow shop and look for a supplement that includes the word miracle on the label, because that's what you'll need to get a plant to mature faster than it wants to mature.

I think it kinda depend on strain. When grown under 18-6, my indicas won't show preflowers till about 45-60 days. If I grow them 12-12 from seed, they are budding in 30 days or less. That's not a miracle at all. When I feed high P during bloom the buds finish faster than if I feed high N during flower. Its not a miracle either.
I was just asking if anyone actually tried forcing a 100% pure equatorial sativa by giving a very short day-9-10hs. Maybe that's an experiment I can do.

Since it's an equatorial strain, dropping below 12 hours is probably a good idea. How much does daylight vary in Colombia? 11 - 13? Maybe 12 hours isn't enough to excite it.
