Can I harvest these buds or do I need to start over?

I’m a first time grower and didnt use any nutrients for my grow. I’m regretting that now but am wondering if I can still harvest my buds or if I need to just start over. I went away for the holidays and when I came back, my plant was really yellow. Are these buds still okay to harvest?

Sure you can harvest those buds, it's a tad early i think but you do what you gotta do for you and your garden. Start a grow journal for your next grow and ask for help when you need it.

You could keep it going a bit. It may be early but still harvestable. You can get something out of it.

Look at the trichomes. That is what tells you when it is ripe. I prefer 50% amber but that is my preference. The more amber the couch lock it will be.
The leaves turn color late in flower, low in N, which is what you want. A bit excessive in your case but that's from not feeding flower nutrients once the nutrients in your soil was used up.

You've got a lot of white pistils on your buds showing they are still growing and putting on weight. I'd give it a lite feeding and keep it going. I'd guess you have 2-4 weeks to go.

I would feed them one good feeding and find a way to get some more light closer to the bottom where most of your weight will be! How many weeks into flower are you?

Looks like it's got couole weeks left tbh get your self an 100x jeweler loop and check the trichomes I aim for about 30% amber then chop this lady here her trichomes are still clear shes only 4 weeks flower coming in to week 5 tomorrow... iand the photo of the trichomes are of a free auto flower i had that i cut last week

It looks to me like the plant can finish okay. There are still enough green leaves on it to keep it going.

Yes. Judging from the look of the buds, it is still too early to harvest it.

I'm wondering what happened. Did the plant not get enough water while you were gone? Its yellow and dying leaf tips make it look like it could be nutrient burn. Either way, it might help to talk about what nutrients will help it, if any.

I feel like I watered them enough before I left but I didn't use any nutrients or cal-mag throughout the grow. I did get some cal-mag about 3 weeks ago. I used it before I left and when I got back but I wondered if I waited too long.

When my plants turned yellow I felt like it happened really quickly. Almost like it was over night! I think it was during week 6 of flower. But since then the yellowing has slowed down

Your plant looks alright to me. I suggest you cut off the dead, crispy leaves and the ones that are completely yellow, but don't remove the leaves which still have some green on them

You want the plant to put it's energy into the buds, rather than into trying to repair leaves

I agree you would benefit from keeping it going for a couple more weeks at least

Are you measuring the temperature? I'm wondering if your leaves went crispy cuz it's too hot

They are fine, i would reccomended gaia green dry amendments for your next run, super beginner friendly

There was a time where the temps were high and the top of the plant was too close to the light. This lasted for maybe 2 weeks before i figured out how to raise my light more. Now the temperature stays between 70-77F or so.
