Can whiskey be used for oil extractions?

I was curious if you could use a nice Whiskey or other fine booze to extract cannabis instead of isopropyl alcohol or butane?

Psychedelic Sam's "Another Tincture Thread" has a Green Dragon Lite recipe using lower proof booze that is very functional.
I personally reclaim using the Source Turbo because I'm not good with explosive vapors. I'm an old.

I made concentrates inside with no fume hood. Also with no source of heat .... I've done it 100 times never had anything close to an accident. That being said I use Iso and not Butane that can ignite with static electricity in the air. This is my end product and the liquid it was r days before
