Can you have to much light?

I was wondering if you can have to much light? I have 2 55w(250) plus 6 42w(150) CFLs for 2 plants, 1 55w and 3 42w per plant in a 3' wide x 20" deep space. would i get a better yield if i just had one plant under that many lights or would that be to much for just one?

You can never have too much light in veg. as long as the temp is under control. I think with the light and the space given you will probably have a bigger total yield growing 2 plants. IMHO

You would b better off running a 2590 hps or mh then all those cfl
