Can you stop smoking weed and continue growing? Or is it impossible?

It’s a odd question to ask I know but who better to come to then people with experience, Basically I wanna stop smoking for personal reasons but I still want to carry on growing as I have a serious passion for it and I don’t really have that same passion for anything else other than the gym..So I don’t know what responses I’m gonna get from this..But if you don’t ask you don’t receive. And I’ve just brought 4 hlg650r but I’ll be asking for advice on that In separate post..Thanks in advance

I met a guy recently who grows as a caretaker but doesn't smoke anymore. He knows if he smokes he will drink which is the problem.

I couldn't do it smelling it all the time.

It all depends on how mentally strong you are and if you are actually ready to not smoke at all.

I know it is possible, but I would have a hard time looking at all those sweet and juicy nugs growing away....I'd surely give in to the ganja ladies sweet embrace.

Shit that sucks man, good on him tho he realised a pattern and adapted to it.

Yeah I’m not the best mentally when it comes to the devils lettuce I’m not gonna lie. And I have to be ready I have no choice otherwise I’m kinda screwed.

Exactly bro There’s quitting and then there’s Jumping in at the deep end which I think quitting while growing is as hard as it’s gonna be..

I know someone who still grows but doesn't smoke or ingest in any way. But you obviously will have to depend on others to tell you what's what on the final products. So have heads you can trust lined up.

Ya gotta have Will Power

.im not smoking atm .i was a little unwell but okay now...when i stopped years ago i smoked the good gear i had then the last crumby stuff till it aint doing nothing no more..sort of weaned myself off..i stopped back in 2008 then started smoking again 2017 and bout every 6 months after that ive been on and off..lol.

You can do it dude..

Can you own a bar and not drink? Its tough. Idk why anyone would want to grow if they don't smoke/use. Of course weed is practically worthless here.

Yeah I was thinking to just try cut down first but i usually do better just diving in to things. I guess everyone different tho.. good for you bro how do you feel when your not smoking and your around the ladies? Does it tempt you?

Good comparison, and I’m the best Grower out me and my friends hands down and them and patients still like the weed I produce..So it’s hard situation, but there many other reasons why I need to stop smoking.

So my stance on it is, why grow it if your not going to use it? I understand that you enjoy it but there are many other plants that you can grow and get enjoyment from. I grow vegetables to eat/share, flowers to brighten my landscape/because they smell good and attract wildlife and insects, house plants for a more comfortable environment, trees because they are beautiful/we can always use more in this world and bud to smoke/eat/sell and share. I guess growing bud also helps keep my rebellious edge in check too even though it's legal here now...Lol.

Im not saying that growing and not smoking isn't possible. We as humans and creatures of habit though typically do better when we distance ourselves from the things we are trying to avoid.

Yeah I get what you mean like agriculture in a whole but at this time my focus is on my weed grow and to help my friends and family out, yeah it’s legal here also but I just need to see if it’s possible, use will be updated as I’m doing a grow journal and quitting smoking at the same time.. It sounds bizarre But thanks for reply dude

Oh fuck yeah but no sooner its dry its out the door ..i havnt actually given up im just giving myself a rest..i cough up heeaps of black shit lol so gotta give those oxy lungs a rest.

That’s how it has to be done it can’t be sitting around because then I’ll just try a sample and b4 you know it I’ve sampled an ounce..Yeah I haven’t had a rest since I was in jail 2 years ago and smoked everyday since I got out, b4 that 2 year Stint I smoked for 10 years straight so the only break I’ve had is that 2 years in 14 years..It’s gonna be tough but let see if it’s possible, hell the weed could come out more fire as I will want stay busy around them

Study yourself — when do you like to smoke? What triggers it? Often, it's about getting over one moment of temptation.

Between 2000 and 2012, I jumped from job to job and had to pee in a cup often — each time requiring 30 days of abstinence from weed. For me, it was never the presence of weed or plants that triggered me to smoke — it was particular times of day. If that's the case for you, it could be much easier to grow and not indulge.

But if just seeing weed makes you want to smoke, growing it doesn't sound like it will work out.

That's pretty much why I started my garden. The mindset shift from consumption to production is easier than outright ignoring my love for the plant. My plan is to give my yields away to my family and smoke maybe a couple times a year.

Did it for over a year. Besides my normal desire to get high it’s especially difficult when you get new strains. There’s something about the build up to harvest and then discovering the new taste and buzz. But your left with toking vicariously.
