Can you use Alka Seltzer as supplemental Co2 for seedlings?

I heard that you can use it, but I question whether the aspirin will have any side effects.

plants produce their own aspirin, when they go in to SAR.

Sounds like you would need a lot of alka Seltzer, and how would you apply it. If you are concerned that aspirin will evaporate out of the alka seltzer and harm the plants somehow, I don't think that is possible... It will remain as a solid in the solution it is sitting in.

I figured I put a tab in my pressure sprayer and just use it for small seedlings. I really just heard a rumor that I couldn't verify by myself.

What do you mean by SAR? If you don't mind me asking...
