At one point I was considering a move back to the land of my birth in order to ply my trade... fuck that now! If they want a free market, then open one. What they've done is patently ridiculous- they've guaranteed themselves a 'criminalized' class, and stripped more rights from people who just want relief. It will backfire too, but how many lives will it disrupt along the way? And for what? Why is it that I never hear politicians asking those questions?

Politicians don't care because it's the champagne and cocaine crowd that gives them campaign funds. Pot smokers are below them. Remember that smug fucking prick Romney and how he turned his back on the wheelchair guy who asked him about his stance on MMJ?

I remember, as did millions of others. It's sad though, how quickly they develop amnesia after getting such clear signals from the voting citizens, isn't it?

even at 3$ a gram most can't afford it anyhow, as for price look what you guys pay in the states at the clubs, 12 to 30$ a gram and that is a free market. What males you think it will be cheaper here. Our clubs charge 12 to 20$ a gram now. It should be easier to get legal but now you need to buy legal? MY wife and I use 10g a day so at 3$ that's 900$ a month. I can grow a fuck of a pile in 2 months for 900$. It's just going to makes us criminals. Get this if you are a registered weed user they put a W on your licence in Ontario.

3 bucks a g isn't that bad, look at pharm scripts, fuckin oxy is like 10-15 a pill and that with a health plan that covers them, and everything else is 5-40 for a single pill !!! And I'm sure they aren't slashing prices by that much in other parts of the world....the only reason we need "affordable healthcare " is because we are getting robbed, how bout a " fair price prescription plan " that's what people need....and I'm not trying to attack the above poster but if you smoke 10g a day you need to find some stronger bud, just sayin....that doesn't really make sense to me, or start smoking some dabs and save yourself some money....we have fire nugget over here and a few gs will do the trick for anyone, it will still be cheaper then the pills that docs are pushing, they have people taking handfuls of bullshit everyday just to make some fast cash.....

Dude. Woods said he 'and his wife' needed 10 grams a day- and that is not very much between two people who regularly medicate for pain- and it isn't shit compared to how much product is needed to make those dabs, or for those who prefer to make edibles.

This is what will happen in the usa the more legal it gets. They will take the right away from everyone to grow it. Its the only way to keep it out of the black market. You will never see a free market like a lot of you want. There not going to let there be little warehouse grows every where, There not going to let you grow in your back yard or closet. Once it goes legal it will be all big company's growing under the eye of the government. They will drive the price down just far enough that its not even worth you trying to grow it. $3 gram is just the start, then you have green houses or out door that could bring that down even more. When most the states have medical marijuana big business will step up, and push the government to let them take control. I guess about another 15-20 years til that happens.

I know, 10g a day just seems a bit excessive to me...dabs are costly, what I'm saying is i think they need to find something more potent..doctors take advantage of the fact that humans hate pain ......the problem with all medication is people learn to depend on it for comfort, back in the old days people had to deal with pain and when they started finding substances that relieved it people started abusing them.....there are people taking 1000mg of oxy per day, that dont mean its the correct amount or right thing to do, those people are abusing the drug and now their body doesn't respond to it, a good doctor would not let that happen to their patient ....the proper thing to do in that case is slowly taper down to a normal dose and let you body adjust itself ......I'm all for smoking bud to replace harsh pills but it seems that most people just don't want to deal with ANY discomfort and abuse medication....I DONT KNOW WOODS OR THE ILLNESS HE AND HIS WIFE HAVE...THIS STATMENT IS A FACT OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN AMERICA TODAY, NOT SAYING THAT THEY ARE PART OF THE MAJORITY ABUSING A SUBSTANCE, IM THINKING THEY NEED A STRONGER MED....

Marijuana is not strong enough to rid your body of cancer pain, and if that's what people are trying to use it for then they should expect to be taking stupid high amounts.....I know we all love bud but I think some peoples reasons in the fight to legalize it are getting a bit silly....I personally think its better used for other properties ....does it help pain, sure...but its not the best thing for a person in agonizing pain to use..and if they want to use it for pain in place of pills because it more healthy then they should expect to have some discomfort, its not heroin....its a trade off, a healthy pain manager (marijuana) instead of being a pain free person addicted to harsh pills (opiates) ...in no way, shape or form is marijuana going to work as good as heroin for pain, its not possible...

I didn't think you had one of those, because if you did you would know better than to make blanket statements about what works for people, how they respond to illness on an individual basis- or how they medicate. Conflating legitimate use for serious conditions with addiction is the oldest pain management mistake in the book, and you just made it.

I didn't make a " blanket statement" everything I wrote was the truth and I said in bold lettering that I don't know him or his illness, and you don't need to be a doctor to understand what is happening in our country...its a fact.....but like I said I THINK HE MIGHT NEED A STRONGER MED....I never said ALL PEOPLE are abusing drugs ....

I think that in the USA pain is under-treated and doctors are afraid of the DEA so they don't prescribe pain meds like they should. For those people who cannot find a doctor to treat them, MMJ is the next best thing. There's no reason why people should live with any pain when we can treat it cheaply, but first every other option should be tried. Before I got scripted pain meds I tried chiropractors, physical therapy, OTC meds until my stomach bled, and cortisone shots. Nothing worked and I didn't want to go the meds route but it was the only thing that worked.

As a canuck, reasons aside, I am just pissed that the gov has mismanaged what the people asked/are asking for.
I think a monkey phucking a football would get more accomplished..... Or atleast is more entertaining for my tax dollar.

Fractal , i 100% agree, and when people start taking pain meds they need to be careful with dosage, its super easy to become tolerant which forces the user to take more for the same result...the same thing happens with marijuana..

Doctors need to keep better tabs on people they have on pain meds, the people abusing them are making the dea crackdown on doctors, which in turn hurts the people that use them responsibly....its an epidemic where I'm from, doctors hand them out like candy, back pain no problem 180 80mg oxy, its totally out of control and florida is the worst in the country, until a year ago the doctors didn't have dea numbers and were handing out record numbers of pain medication and there was no was to tell, people were flying there on planes and paying docs cash for scripts of oxys by the thousands of pills and bringing them back wherever and selling/using .....it ruined ligitimate doctors ability to manage pain without the dea up their ass..

I thought that now, Florida is the hardest place to get a script because of all this. Instead of reducing things to a normal level they just had a knee-jerk reaction against narcotics scripts and pharmacies there don't even carry oxycontin anymore. It's just stupid, and screws legit pain patients.

Yep, I just don't get how we have people running this country that have a less logical approach to law enforcement then people on a on cannabis forum, can we please get someone, just 1 normal human in power....why even vote, all we can ever do Is chose the lesser of 2 evils, never have we seen the oppertunity to elect someone with the views of a rational citizen. Its always some political actor who practices his smiles and handshakes in the mirror and only cares about things he feels are important, we need someone that has no views politically and will sit and hear things the "people" want and make choices based on fact, not some knee jerk response to glitches in the system, we have a drug problem in the usa - 20 years for people arrested with crack..??? Are they kidding, what are they 12.....complete joke

It doesn't make sense you are so right. Sometimes I wonder how in the hell I turned out to have so much common sense, and see things so differently than everybody else. I went to public high school! Didn't get my B.S. degree until I was 31. I really hope the new agers are correct and that we are soon to live through a massive reversal of the way we do things. There is nothing to look forward to the way things are going. It is exactly like Orwell said. If you want a vision of the future, picture a boot stomping on a human face forever. If something doesn't intervene, we are going to destroy ourselves. I say intervene and not change because we are too far gone to change, and Americans are apparently so pacified they will never rise up and build the gallows we need to hang hundreds of traitors that have taken over government.
