If a root from a clone finds air and light and decides to sprout into a plant, will that "seedling"" sprout... grow COTYLEDONS..

That looks to me like a seeds was dropped at the side of your pot at some point and now has sprouted.

I don't think a cannabis plant can grow from a piece of left over root like some other plant species like weeds n stuff can.

But I could be wrong, if anyone knows something different let me know as this is pretty interesting.

I’ve been growing for 20+ years and I have a BS in biology. I can definitely say that cotyledons only sprout from seeds. You probably dropped a seed at the edge, unbeknownst by you. Grow that baby. She’ll probably be fire!

No my clone is in the plug right now.. but it hasn't really gone anywhere in foliar growth but then out of no where this pops up out of the soil....

I love alone so whose there to be playing a trick on me...

What I'm not understanding is yeah I get a root can surface and grow into a plant...
But aren't Cotyledons something brought on by the seed as extra nutrition for the beginning stages of a sprouts seedling stage...

if there's no seed then how it there the Cotyledons

Haven't had any seed at the house I had and og Kush seed and a Bruce Banner x Kali Mist seed from my winter grow left over so I grew those...
But I've been buying shake ounces lately.... Cheapo stuff already ground and no seed in it that aren't already chewed up anyways

I get the possibility of a root getting enough above soil senario to start sprouting but where the Cotyledons come from

That def came from a seed im willing to bet that clone you had in there had a bean or 2 attached .from the hairs grow at the internodes she had to be around some pollen check your other cuts of her and check the clone that was in there but i can guarantee thats what happen it could of been a male you have around or it happened from a herm
