Hello errbody.

1st time grower. Life time user.

Lets start at the beginning (Tl;Dr? Skip to the end):

I have 27 seedlings. 2 different strains. Dont know what they are. Just picked them out of some buds.

I did not germinate on paper towel. Just planted them in jiffy brand peat pucks in a premade green house. They sprouted in about a week and in another week had gotten too tall for the short green house. I transplanted them into 8 ounce cardboard (? Some recycled product) cups.

I was watering every other day but im realizing thats too much so im thinking about every 3 or 4 days. I put them in the windowsills every morning at first dawn and take them off the sills at sunset and move them to an interior room that i know will be relatively warm throughout the night. My house stays anywhere between 62 and 72 degrees. Pretty cold for mah bebes.

We are at week 6 since initial planting. Why are my babies looking like Larry Bird's alien counter part in Space Jam?

If you are inquiring as to why your plants are lanky, it is due to insufficient lighting. Cannabis grows fine in natural sunlight outdoors, but depending on how much sunlight a windowsill receives, it is usually too little light. Those peat pots dry out really quickly in my experience. I use them for very few things. Usually only plants that are sensitive to transplant shock. Positive vibes...

I thought this thread was gonna be about keeping pot plants as actual houseplants lol Which I've done several times btw. My Violator kush cut was infested with thrips when I got it so after treatment I kept it in my living room window for like 3 months just hanging out lol.

Yes you can. I use these sometimes. They work great. I have these outside in my green house box.

Will the peat pots allow the roots to continue to grow or will it stunt them?

Holy hell. This makes me want to quit growing and become an alcoholic. The flashlight on the back of your phone will do a better job than those lights FFS.

I did notice I’m having to use FFS a lot these days. Like in every post I make. I really wish these newbs would quit fucking the dog. It’s fucking embarrassing! (Letterkenny)

Hi again, your plants are fine and those pots probably saved you from overwatering by drying quickly. You really don’t need supplemental light (they made it this far), the way you’re going assures the light cycle is consistent for when they go outdoors. Will you plant them in the ground or containers?

What jwm2 is saying is that incandescent bulbs are bad, unless you use them for additional heat.

And don’t ever apologize for a healthy plant. This is my pre-outdoor setup, shoplights, a logbook and a scale.

Florescent lamps. T5HO sunblaster is what I would put over them. I love those things.

Curb your frustration for those who are at your level. Im brand new and dont appreciate the extras. Sometimes, even with all the knowledge available to read, people need to have it written a different way to understand. But thank you for your feed back. I look forward to your expertise.
