Hi everyone,

We’re running an indoor program on THC and CBD strains.
We’ve just received our THC seeds and put them in germination. 24/32 popped in 36h. They have been planted in organic light mix. The rest will be planted tomorrow.

Setup (per grow room):
3x Gavita 1700e
2x Quest 70L
2x humidifiers
1x CO2 tank
Trolmaster controller
Soil : Biobizz lightmix
Nutes : Biobizz biogrow, biobloom, topmax

Strains :
Blueberry
Mazar
Amnesia

Current conditions (seedlings) :
Lights 120cm at 50% (ppfd 280)
Humidity 68%
Temp 24C

Hope things work out ok :)

skip the paper towel method as too many bad things could happen.. plant straight to your planters your using now..
i soak my seeds in a cup of water with hydrogen peroxide, about a strength of 5-7% for 10 hours give or take and than plant into small cups,.. hasn’t failed yet and the seeds never touch a human hand or exposed to elements etc..

Yep agree it’s a little delicate move, but I’ve always done it that way and never had issues… on the other hand, never grew this amount of plants before.
I’ll consider it when popping the CBD seeds next week :)

Day 3 :
11/12 Blueberry showed their first leaves (Pic 1)
7/10 Mazar popped up (2 seeds still germinating)(pic 2)
5/8 Amnesia popped up and the last 4 germinating seeds sprouted (pic 3)

Temp is between 22 (night) and 24C (day)
RH is between 62 (night) and 68 (day). Reason I chose this is because nights are cooler and I wanted to keep a stable VPD. Any inputs?

Thanks :)

Quick question : should I ventilate the growroom (10-15mn during lights out), knowing I live in a rural tropical area ? I do have G4 filters hooked to the intake and exhaust fans.

Your ideas?

Day 4:
12/12 Blueberry sprouted
Still 7/10 Mazar (2 still haven’t germinated)
And 6/12 Amnesia

Still the same settings I’ll wait till next week and start increasing light intensity, lowering humidity and raising the temp to get the VPD dialed in at .8-1 (currently .6-.8).

Day 6:

Nothing much since yesterday.

1 Mazar and 1 Amnesia watered thoroughly.

1 Amnesia germinated, which makes it 11/12 for that strain. Still have one in the Tupperware.

No big issues as of yet. What do you all think?

Thanks :)

Day 7

Watered most of them pH 6.5 and 0.3 ml calmag (water is soft here) until runoff. Let them sit in it for about 30mn then threw away the excess water.

1 more Amnesia sprouted which makes it 9/12.

The last Mazar is still in the Tupperware but I don’t think it’ll make it.

As for the rest everything seems ok, some blueberry have stretched a little and have fallen over.

Day 8 - day 6 from sprouting

Those watered yesterday are doing good. Watered a couple today and will water the rest tomorrow. I can see them picking up.
But I’m defo still on the lookout for weird growth or stunt growth all together.

They nearly all sprouted. Quality seeds from the Dutch :)

Day 9

Things still looking alright.
Watered the last few ones that didn’t get any since being planted.

First set of leaves doing their first set of leaf thing (twisting and stuff).

Did notice the blueberries I watered 2 days ago didn’t start to dry out so I think it’s time to lower humidity (was at 68, lowered to 62) so the roots can start doing their work. Also Increased light ppfd to 440 wich should help drying the medium out.

CO2 fluctuates between 600-1200ppm without the canister even turning on! Only my breathing while I’m in the room.

Day 10

So far so good.
I have one of the blueberries first set of leaves which have yellow spots. The new growth seems ok and I can’t see any pests. I’ll just consider it’s the first set of leaf thing and watch out for any other issues with new growth.

Day 11

Still on track. Transplanting tomorrow into bigger containers, can see the roots through the bottom holes.

The medium of the plant with the yellow spots is still wet I think it’s roots might be having some trouble so I’ll leave it alone for some time.

This is my kind of journal, better believe I’m following this one. Best of luck!! And agreed with Nick, I used to do paper towel method and switched over to his method my last two grows and had 95% rate with paper towel, but so far 100% with the soaking method. Either way, you’ve got a great start!

Thanks a lot :)

Day 12

Still doing good.
Transplanted 3 of them. Will do more tomorrow.
One I watered yesterday showed weird stains on the first set of leaves. I have no idea what it is as it appeared real fast no signs of bugs. Doubt it’s a deficiency. New growth seems ok. Will monitor.

Day 13

Transplanted more.
And got some windburn. Changed the fans direction, will have to monitor if this doesn’t create humidity pockets.

So out of 9 fans surrounding the grow tables I switched 3 off and stop oscillating 2 so I only have 6 fans left non of which are pointing at plants.
Humidity throughout the room is pretty homogenous and all plants get a really light breeze.
Thankfully they don’t seem to be stunted. I’ll have to monitor this during the next couple of days.

Day 14 - 11 from sprout

That keep growing and I don’t see any new leaf damage.
Next watering I’ll start the calmag (tap water ec is .1 here)
Last pic is a nice indica ;)

Day 15

Still got those brown spots taking over the lower leaves. Will add calmag to every watering from now on.
But they still on track.
Got some leaves curling but I do believe it’s because of to much fan
