I use troll master and the app keeps alerting me that I’m in the red in vpd.I do crop steering and it goes against vpd in every aspect almost. At times I’m like stfu.
It’s more of a science. If you’re getting bored from the current water system and it seems to easy it will challenge you. It’s giving the rock wool 6-9 shots a day and measuring the dry back. You want a certain percent dry back every night and it pushes your babies into over drive. So basically you control what your plant needs not what it wants. By mid day it’s a must to have a run off and 4 hours of dry back. Every day you come in and measure the ec of the run off should be within 1 point of what you put in. I successfully did one table and it came out one of the best, I can’t say for so the other table. These lines get clogged sometimes and it’s aggravating. I’m still trying to figure it out, it’s fairly new to me.Also, how do you like crop steering? How long have you been doing it? I’ve read up on it, peaks my interest……

Yeah it’s some crazy stuff. I don’t recommend it for any beginners. No beginners know about this because people are scared to tell Em about it and not want them to try it. The only people who know this method and about it are more advanced indoor gardeners. You will never hear people talk about it on pod cast or anything. Basically you’re right. Honestly there’s veterans who hide their knowledge here and mostly it’s the beginners who share their crappy knowledge. I started back in 2006 and did it about for 4 years. I stopped and came back a few years back and better than ever. I got older and wiser, and surprising better at it. Sometimes you just gotta find yourself first and mature before getting back on the saddle. I was getting too trashed and was never on top of my stuff in my early days. Back then I did it for the money, now I’m doing it as a hobby. It’s crazy how things make a full circle and I’m doing it for the different reason.Well I'm a 4 year grower with 1 year of experience lol

Age is just a number, I know 50 year olds that act like 12 year olds. You’re older than me , but not by much. You’re the same age as my older sister. I’ve done almost every system out there, but crop steering is going to be my end. So far I love flood and drain the most with a hybrid system of crop steering.I'm 47 lol
Yeah, I try to help as much as possible for the novice folks. My toolbox is their toolbox when I’m here. I feel you though, but there are certified killers here that pay it forward a lot too. Yeah I used to do the same as you too, the older ive gotten my why? Changed. So I still roll a lot of plants, but I’m not yield chasing, glad you came back to the game homie, and legit from one grower to the next, hit me up if you ever need a hand. If you do decide crop steering hmu brother. There’s just 3 main things you gotta remember before you jump into it. No organic or thick nutes itll clog the lines, 2 mid day run off is a Must, 3 get a moisture meter to measure dry back on cubes. I’d wish someone told me this before I jumped in, it would have saved me a lot of headaches. It cool what you are doing with the steering, I’ve grown every way under the sun, and that’s something I’ve def been thinking about trying.

Stuck the landing
Too long, did not read.Hi all, long time lurker here, but first time posting. I've been successfully growing outside for 2 years and am trying my hand at indoor growing. It isn't going well and I'm completely stumped as to what the heck is wrong. I planted 4 seeds a month ago, but they're all very slow growing. They are about the size of 2 week seedlings instead of 4 week seedlings. They're all autoflowers.
Gorilla Glue, Gelato NTL, Jack Herer & an unknown mystery mix seed. I use the same soil I've always used..a mix of potting soil, worm castings & fox farm with perlite. These 4 indoor seedlings have consistent temperature around 72°-78°F, consistent light schedule, with some fluctuating humidity at night. I have a variety of other plants (vegetables, herbs & flowers) that were planted in the same soil mix several weeks earlier and are thriving like normal. I use this same soil mix in my outdoor weed grows and have never had an issue. I'm completely stumped with these indoor 4. Ph is great & they've never dried out, yet the the soil seems to take forever to need watering even though they aren't getting drenched. It's like they've just grown some, then froze in time. My Jack Herer is taking on some deformed leaves and I don't know why. I'm looking for any kind of guidance I can get to hopefully save these ladies. I gave them a bit of weak fertilizer a few days ago and still haven't noticed much difference. I don't know if I should keep treating them as young seedlings by not feeding them because their smaller than normal sizes or if I should feed them based on their actual plant age. Every day I'm obsessed with looking at them constantly to see if there's any improvement, but it's like watching paint dry. If it's the soil, then why do my outdoor girls do fantastic in it before being transplanted into the ground? Something is really wrong here and I can't figure it out. Please help if you can. Thank you for taking your time to read this. I appreciate any advice to help these young ladies.
Funny how advice can be offered but it was "too long, did not read". None of these were the issue. I took Ben123's advice of increasing both humidity and heat and have noticed a significant improvement in these ladies already.Too long, did not read.
It just looks like too much of everything. Too much light, too much water, heavy nutes.
Just pull the light back, let them dry between waterings
Possibly transplant into slightly larger pot with properly balanced soil.
