I did read, and I'm just trying to keep the focus on the issue regardless of the media I'm growing... the issue is, my Calmag solution wont stabilize on 6.5 for watering. Sorry if I sounded hostile, just keeping focus on the issue.you're starting to get hostile for no reason. i'm quoting @XhibitA's post, which will provide you the reason that @Aqua Man told you getting an acid will only partially solve your problem. Go read it before replying.
So let's run some tests brother. What is the straight PH of your water, no additives?I did read, and I'm just trying to keep the focus on the issue regardless of the media I'm growing... the issue is, my Calmag solution wont stabilize on 6.5 for watering.
obviously you didn't, or you did and didn't comprehend what you read. it's simple chemistry you're dealing with, and it's new members like you that argue with the information you're given that make people like me and other long time members quit answering threads like this. go figure it out for yourself. you've been given the answers you need. if you're too dense to accept what you're being told, that's on you. good luck.I did read, and I'm just trying to keep the focus on the issue regardless of the media I'm growing... the issue is, my Calmag solution wont stabilize on 6.5 for watering.
7.2 pH and 30 ppm, after adding Calmag 8.6pH and 124 ppmSo let's run some tests brother. What is the straight PH of your water, no additives?

Absolutely is the point... if it's soil you don't need to do any of this. Not the point, just want to water the soil with a 6.5 solution.
It's hydro.Absolutely is the point... if it's soil you don't need to do any of this.
If it's hydro or soiless you do.
Well fuck...That changes everything...LmaoIt's hydro.
Adding Calmag will increase ALKALINITY making the water "harder" and pH more stable, so as I add acid to bring pH down if should stay down at some point, but it wont. I would like to understand why it wont stay down. That's all...Ok you must have not understood my post because PH means NOTHING!!!!
PH is a result. It doesn't tell you shit about your water.
You need ALKALINITY to control your ph. So phosphoric acid is the solution to half your problem... plain and simple.
That's where our communication breakdown is here.
