So the ones I just grew are a combo of Nevil's haze and this Colombian haze that Skunkman Sam has and Todd McCormick grew out and sells at Authentic Genetics www.ageseedco.com. He calls it "Original Haze" because it was earlier than when the Thai etc got mixed in later. Whether that is the original or whatever I have no idea. He calls the first cross "ON Haze" for Original x Nevil's Haze....and then he took ON Haze and crossed it with another "Original Haze." Those are the seeds I grew and I will be working that line via fussy haze at least this round.

But those seeds are sold out. The Original Haze seeds that are not mixed with Nevil's Haze are not. But those only ship in US and as I recall you are in South Africa.

The haze-centric plant I would be most excited about growing out is "The Doors" from Mr. Nice Seeds, which is essentially Nevil's Haze x a Haze AC male.

Oh by the way "A" vs "C" Haze. So basically the story is Nevil got 3 haze plants. B was a mediocre mom, A was more body and crazier but died relatively early on, and C is what most people think of when they think of Haze-centric highs (it is more heady iirc). The A5 and C5 refers to Haze A x Northern Lights #5 and same with C. The A5 is super rare and hipster atm. Karma has one. I am growing a few plants with it (Killer A5 Haze and then P Haze uses a bx of A5 via Karma I believe). C5 is what you have in, for instance, most NL5 x Haze one would buy today. I think. I could be wrong on this as it is from memory. I get a lot of this via Ace Seeds.

I would also be really stoked to run Mango Haze or Super Silver Haze from MNS.

Now, if I am getting over myself, I will also say this: "Purple Haze" from ILGM is really good. I do not think it has the depth of the body high that this Colombian haze has, but that was one of my first plants, I stunted the shit out of it, and I still get anyone I shared it with asking me about that strain and reminding me of that smoke. Over anything from my last round and anything else from my first round (I did not share the Zamaldelica x Kali China widely because of scarcity with that plant due to some issues). The buzz is super dreamy and really great going for a walk etc weed.

I haven't shared the current haze and widow widely because I am curing them.....but that "purple haze" is good shit and I am running it again at some point this year. I honestly wonder what they crossed it with and what it really is since ILGM mostly white labels stuff....

Woah! Ok! I just got lost for an hour or 2 on the Mr Nice website, btw is it just me or is their site really old school? There is Soooo much there that caught my eye! If only I had a couple hundred Euro spare...

But seriously, thanks for the tip, when I get some spare cash I'll definitely be looking at a couple packs from them. I think I may have added a couple strains to my bucket list. Lol.

Yo, the auctions on mr. Nice are where it's at. I am waiting on shipment bc reasons but you can get great genetics for a song on their auction page. Can't pay with credit card but still...

Btw what is a haze? They seem to come from different parts of the world so it's not one particular strain. What is it that makes a haze a haze?

Basically some farmers in Northern California in the 70s were able to grow this blend of genetics they got in their climate and it did really well. They called it haze. It kept on getting added to, hence the variation, but the basis includes Colombian for sure.

So honestly it's just a hybrid and a mess. In terms of consistent genetics and stuff, this ain't it. But people have found fire for a while and, importantly, there is no afghani nor indica of any kind in it.

Yeah! I know what you mean, so many different stories around, it would be easy to spark up a huge thing over it. Like the many different stories around OG and the very passionate debate over who is right...

Yeah. You can see just that kind of thing on the thread linked off the agseedco site. It's on IC Mag.

A lot to sift through.

I have also seen dubi talk about it on IG. Ace has worked with something called "Oldtimer's Haze," which honestly I don't even know what that is but it seems to be some old school stuff. Old school British grower.

Just don't have it in me to chase down that line right now though. Too long of flowering for too much variability.

Oldtimer's Haze is from Oldtimer1, an old British grower (formerly of overgrow) who also made ESB and some others. Tough to find info about him online now, but he was definitely an OG breeder.

Interesting. The only nigerian weed i have had was thoroughly mediocre tbh. "Rollins." But i mean, it was corporate dispensary weed.
