I have a 1.2x1.2m (4x4ft) and 1x1m (~3x3) tents in a sealed room.
Both were filtered and vented into the room with 580m3h(340cfm) and 360m3h (210cfm) inline fans respectively.
I need the filters and fans out of the tens because I need the room so what I did was get a wooden enclosure made for the bigger fan and carbon filter and hung it near the ceiling.
The 4x4 tent is connected to the enclosure with an open, unobstruced 6" duct about 3ft long strait from the reflector in the tent. The other side of the reflector is open.
The 340cfm fan now sucks the air from the box, through the carbon filter and blows it into the room through a 6" duct about 3ft long going through a hole in the side of the cabinet (I sealed the space between the duct and cabinet of course). The air from the tent is sucked to the box then throught the filter and fan and out to the room.
The cabinet door was not a snug fit but thats to be expected so I bought a strip of soft foam insulation and it fit perfect around the edges of the cabinet making a good seal (I hope).
The plan is to connect the smaller tent to the cabinet and have the fan empty both tents. That's not an option until I solve my problem.
My problem is: it manages to keep the smell out and the temperature at bay but it does not keep up with the humidity. It goes over 70 in just a few minutes.
I initially estimated negative pressure would go down some but I would still have enough air moving thought the tent. Was I completly off in my wishings or is it a matter of better sealing the cabinet. Do I need to upgrade to the next fan size available here, 8" 800m3h(470cfm)? Would that be enough for both tents? How frequently would the air be completly vented in each of the tents?
Can someone help me with modifing the venting formulas to my unique situation?
Thanks
