I need to buy a carbon filter what brand do you recommend Can, Phresh, Phat, Mountain Air? I have a 10x13x8 grow room with 2 lights but will be changed to one 1 light next grow.

I was on the Can Filter and they have a formula to figure out what size filter you need and its LxWxH divided by 3. So I have a room that is:

10 x 13 x 8 = 1040/3 = 347

I think that the Can Filter 33 will work??

That formula....what is the 347?? Does that mean a 347cfm fan? That sure seems small. I can't remember the formula I used but for like a 10X10X7 room I needed a bigger fan than 350cfm. More like 800 IIRC. My rooms are actually a bit smaller than 10X10X7 (8X8X7) and I'm using 750cfm fans.

I've also seen formulas that use number of lights or watts of light (heat) added into the mix. I realize that the number of lights doesn't affect how long it takes to completely exchange the air in a room but...
It did make some sense when I read it.

Phat works good for my 4x4 sunhut full of Chemdog D really helps tone down the smell and no dusty plants. I traded a 6 bulb t5 for a phat filter but I think you can score one on ebay for about 100 bucks!

Can does have a 2.5" thick carbon bed. I've also heard the Mountain brand is really good. Phresh and Phat aren't going to be as good which is why they are cheaper.
