carbon filter setup question

sorry for the misleading title, I was unable to change it.
anyways heres my setup
My flower room is 7x12x8 there will be 2 1000watt lights in it.
I need to put some type of smell control in the room and i was wondering if this would work. if I have an 8" carbon filter==>8" 1k light==>8" light==>8" 850 cfm fan==>6" reducer to 6" exhaust.
will I be able to successfully run this setup and control the odor?
thanks

From what I understand you should put your fan after your filter and before your lights so it is not pulling the heated air through it. Other than that I think it will work great.

I liked to push through because it seemed to scrub more stank out. But my lights are separate from my scrubber. I think pulling especially through hoods after the filter allows alot of stanky to get sucked And pushed into or out were ever your exhaust goes.

I think another poster may be right, go with filter then fan-lights then out. All the stink should be filtered first and only heated air is exited out. good setup.
