Whats up there caregiverken.

I really like the sound of this cross and I know its always fun watching your own creation come to life!

All the plants look very healthy, well done, and the stems are looking nice and strong.

I can't wait to see them in flower.

And If I do say so myself it's seems to be a quick vegger :mmm
(despite my mistakes)

None of the other seeds are doing as well as these did early on.

The clones rooted fast too.:)

Now, I have another Newb question for you vets

I wanna see what kind of buds these phenos are going to produce ASAP

so.... Can I flower the Original when Im done taking cuts?

or..... wait and flip a clone?

Thanks in advance and thanks for looking farmers!

I wanna be able to tell there potential mostly. and Im not sure a smaller plant would do that.

I was thinking that most would say "Save the Original"...But the clones are the same plant...So I'm with you...I don't think it really matters..

Im thinking..I will pick a nice strong clone from each pheno and keep that as a mom...or dad..lol

Feel free to chime in folks :)

Bubba Kush is usually a pretty stable breeder, and I don't know the background on your Himalayan Gold, but it sounds like it could have some landrace genetics in there maybe something sativa?, making the new strain have hybrid vigor.

Flowering the seed plants as opposed to the clones, you can do either, figures in a couple ways.

The reason for saving the original plant from seed is that if you plan on keeping one of the pheno's around for awhile with a mother plant, it is better to keep taking clones from the original as opposed to taking a copy of a copy of a copy as you go forward which as you can imagine can lead to some degradation of the plants robustness and vitality. This being more important if you plan to do any further breeding with your chosen pheno.

Next there is the size issue. I might have missed it somewhere, but what light will you use for flowering?

I ask because less powerful lighting has poorer penetration so it would be better to flower shorter plants. Any plant over say around 3 ft really needs a 1k to get adequate light to the bottom portion. And I bring this up because some of your plants from seed are looking pretty tall at this point and the sativa leaning pheno's could very likely see a good deal of stretch and have a flowering time over 10 weeks.

Anyways, hope this helps out, and I'll be watching to see how it works out for you!

That was VERY Helpful Grower..Thank you.

Yes the Him. Gold has some landrace sativas in there.
.It grew like corn.

I hear ya on the clone of a clone of a clone thing...
But these Originals might get too big to have under my lights too.
I still have hundreds of these seeds :)

I only have 1 600w MH/HPS (switchable)
and a noisy 250w streetlamp type thingy and Im using both those to veg.

I was planing on flowering in my greenhouse for now:dull

I would love to get a 1000w someday...
but I can't afford my power bill as it is...:sad0047:

Thanks again!

Thanks I think so too..
.From what I read Bubba tends to dominate most crosses......
But the LandRace in the HG maybe be Dom here..I dunno..

They grow fast so far and they haven't had the best lighting....

And they seem to be bushy like a bubba...so it is interesting

awesome news! congradulations on your girls, yea ive grown that himalayan gold too it can be a stretcher but i dont think it has much if any sativa in it, just a monster...alot of plants in the himalaya's are tall and bushy some are wide leaf and some are narrow leaf also depends on how high on the mountianside your on, one things for sure though the buds are dense and resin laden, sounds like a great plant to use on the bubba seems like it'd be an improvement to both plants, a great match IMO

Thanks John :)

Yeah bro... Everything I read about HG says its mostly Indica...But Man,
It grows fast and huge like a Sativa! The ones I grew had fat leaves at 1st then Really skinny leaves in the end.

Could i possibly have been the 1st person to cross these two?

and..If soo...what that mean? Nothing?...lol

Means something to me...especially if this turns out killer! :)

some day.... maybe... on the bay you'll see CGKBG going for 4k a pack!!

LMAO!
