Hey all! Just harvested. My nugs look and smell insane. Yay! BUT when I was trimming I noticed some suuuuuuper small hermies. I assume they got there late in harvest since they were almost unnoticeable. I'm in 7 gallon smart pots and Nectar #4 soil. I use Nectar For the Gods nutes. Have for 15 years. I do regular Slurry tests to make sure plants are eating what they should be eating and PPM's are good. I PH my feeding water to 6.5. Temps at plant tops is usually 68-70 degrees at dark and 79-83 during light. RH in the room is always between 45-55%. I feed every three days using 3/4 gallon per pot. 3rd day pots are usually light but not "too light" Timers obviously set to 12/12 and haven't noticed any kinks with the timers. They turn off and on when they should. I have no light leaks in this room.

Potential possibilities:

1. I dont turn my lights down incrementally when going into Flower stage.. When it's time to go to flower, I go straight from 18/6 light cycle to 12/12 as opposed to 6 days before flower going from 18/6 to 17/7 16/8 15/9 14/10 13/11 and then 12/12

2. Once in a while the temp at plant top height can hit 86 degrees.

3. I run three different types of lights. Does this matter? I run an LED that's equivalent to 645 watts. I run a Ceramic flower lamp that's 600w. and I run an HPS that's 600w. (next grow I'm going to use 2 4 foot LED's and thats it. THANKS ALL!

Nothing your doing is going to herm the plants . Different spectrum of lighting is actually a good thing . Straight to 12/12 All good .
If no light leaks Or timer . Then there are not temp issues . Genetics is the cause .

environnemental stress can cause some phenotypes to herm locally first few weeks of flower.

i have this happening rather often with none or a few phenotypes per batch of seeds bottom of the canopy due to low light penetration i think.

☝️

It could just be the strain....some are more susceptible to herming....

well light height? if youre lights are too close eventrully they will stress more and more. if they are too far away same thing can happen. its pretty normal to get 1 or 2 bananas just pull em out no one is perfect but i tell ya that bud looks damn near it :)

but i think what could had happened was i think your ment to decrease your light intensity during the later flowering stage aposed to growing the plant in veg. download protone on your phone and check your lights out :) you want 1300par at maxiumi think.... im not sure haha youd have to look into that
