LOOKING FOR HELP: chasing pH all grow, canopy is pale im a newbie on my first grow and I've been chasing pH the entire grow. My canopy has gone pale/lime green and I'd appreciate any advice. Photos and my reading log are below.GROW TIMELINE- Started: July 23 (seed, photoperiod)- Flipped to 12/12: Sept 19 (day 17 of flower today, Oct 5)- No defoliation or lollipopping yet- Photos taken: Sat, Oct 3 (day 15)SETUP- System: VIVOSUN VGrow VG-18B smart grow box, 4-gal DWC, controlled with the VIVOSUN app- Light: Built-in Samsung LM301H EVO 100 W LED, running the VIVOSUN Flowering recipe (nothing changed manually)- Water: RO, reservoir filled to 3.5 gal- Meters: BlueLab (pH/EC), PPFD measured at canopy- Environment: air ~72 F, water 68-69 F, PPFD 427-449RESERVOIR MIX (per 3.5 gal)- 7 mL VIVOSUN Cal+Mag+Iron- 15 mL Base A + 15 mL Base B- 7 mL Bloom Juice- 7 mL HydroguardPer gallon: about 2 mL Cal-Mag, 4.3 mL each A and B, 2 mL Bloom, 2 mL HydroguardTODAY'S READINGS (Oct 5)EC 1.17 | pH 6.21 | PPFD 427-449WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON- EC ran only 0.22-0.26 for the first few weeks (RO water)- pH has swung roughly 5.8-6.7 most of the grow- Sept 25: mixed a reservoir that read pH 3.21 / EC 2.02, then diluted and raised it before transferring- PPFD jumped from about 320 to 400+ in the last week- Canopy is pale/lime green: [add what you see: spotting, curling, tip burn, lower-leaf yellowing]- Roots look healthy (white, no slime)PHOTOS(insert your photos here)QUESTIONS1. Is the pale canopy more likely feeding, Cal-Mag on RO, or light intensity?2. Is my pH range OK for DWC, or am I over-adjusting?3. Should I raise EC, and by how much?4. Should I adjust pH after mixing everything, or in stages?More photos on request. Thank you!

AI answer From Grow Assistant, reviewed by THCFarmer staff. Always double-check before acting.
Looks like underfeeding to me, mostly nitrogen. The whole canopy is an even pale lime with no spotting or burnt tips, which is what a hungry plant looks like. 1.17 EC is light for week 3 of flower in DWC, and those roots look healthy (the tan is normal nute staining, the white tips are fine), so they can take more.

I don't think it's the light. 430 PPFD is modest for flower, and light stress shows up as bleached tops, not an even wash over everything. Cal-Mag at about 2 mL/gal on RO is a fair dose, and with no spotting or crinkled new growth I wouldn't chase it.

Raise EC about 0.2 every day or two toward 1.4 to 1.6 and watch whether new growth greens up. If tips start clawing or burning, back off a step. Also check that your Base A/B wasn't cut too far at the flip, because Bloom Juice-type boosters are low in N.

On pH, you're over-adjusting. RO has no buffer, so it swings, and that 3.21 reading says the dose got away from you. Mix everything first (Cal-Mag, then A and B, then additives), stir, adjust pH once at the end, wait 15 minutes and recheck. Aim for 5.8 to 6.2 and only touch it if it drifts outside 5.8 to 6.3. Calibrate the BlueLab if it's been a while.

What's the Base A/B, and what EC does its chart call for in week 3 of flower?

Ph fluctuating can mean bad balance of nutes and also root issues.
Like the brown stuff.
I would think one could find a very stable and ph at 1.2 -1.4 ec.
Hydroguard is really a watered down product, definitely would recommend Hygroben.
It’s has same bacteria and more.
Inoculation of your pot weekly would be a good idea.
Things happen above the water line and splashes may may to the job but say using a Dixie cup then add your gaurd into that, now you have supercharged cup.
Pour that through your net pot to add it.
That way about the waterline gets some too if live is your choosing.
Enjoy
