so RO filter came in. Please tell me if im screwin this up... i started at 1200ppm in the rez, I flushed my system to drain with RO water (not ph'd) until water was draining at 300ppm. i figured that was good enough. now im filling my rez and i will ph before i cycle the water. after i cycle the water a few hours and ensure its mixed i will ph again and add nutrients. is this the best possible procedure? Am i missing a step?

No, just be sure to give enough time (24hrs is good) for pH bounce to settle down. As mentioned previously, RO water has pretty much no alkalinity and as such, has no resistance to pH shift.
