i have ordered some of these aquatics filter socks that are 200 micron and 50 micron and they were only £5.99 each so if they work well i cant see why someone would buy the £170-£200 odd per set thats about £35 quid for a set of six different size micron

You can also go to Filterbag.com and check out the starter kits. The 5gal kit is 70 bucks and has Kit 35, 55, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, and 800 micron bags in the kit. There's a drawstring kit for the same price with similar micron ratings that will fit a 2 gallon I believe.
