Sorry im not the best at taking pictures, but im trying.... These are very frosty and its only the end of the 6th week!

I will do better job next round. The SFV OG seems to be a little sensitive to light. Easy To get bleaching and stunted growth.....

Wow, that is looking really similar to my Mother of Thor girls, the way the calyxes have formed and the frosting pattern. Beautiful. I have an SFV OG Kush cross called Kush Cleaner (x'd w/ Jack's Cleaner), rather different looking set of girls than what you've put up.

Mad respect, brother!

Wow thanks for all the positive comments guys. Im kinda shocked you all like these pics with all the awesome stuff grown here on the farm. I appreciate everyones kind words so far. It means a lot.

Its 7 weeks exactly, not six........I just re-counted the days.....49 days in....

This is a SVF OG cut that is floating around in Northern Cali at all the clubs and Im sure is just a pheno from Swerves work. So it is not an elite cut at all, however, looks to be pretty nice and I must say I am surprised at how dank it looks! I thought it might auto or go hermie on me...:) jk

1000 K HPS,in 4 by 4 flood and drain tables, in nine inch square netpots, nine plants to each table, 50 gallon reso for each table, very frequent reso changes, fed Jacks Hydroponic at aprox 70% their recommended strength, CaNo3 at 70% also, and with some added Epsom Salts for extra Mg. Ph kept at a very strict 5.7, added back only water between my frequent reso changes...No additives of any kind wanted or needed.....used nitric acid for ph down...

One thing to notice is how green the plants still are even in those close up bud shots. I dont cut back on the nutes really until the very end.....they were flowered with a profile of close to 3-1-4 (N/P/K). I will strive for clean burning ash that burns white...

N=113 ppm
P=41 ppm
K= 171 ppm
Ca= 90 ppm
Mg=50 ppm
S= 65ppm

I believe Chem/Og strains and many other in fact might need a little added Mg. That is where the epsom salts come into play. They add to the ppm of the Mg and the S. Sulphur is what makes your plants smell dank as fuck. It is hard to over do it on the S and many/most nute formulas dont really have enough. The epsom salts add Mg and S without adding Ca and N.

Total PPM of less then 800 always at a .5 conversion. When the feed is balanced the plants dont need hot nutes!

Oh yea I added dmz at 1 ml per gallon and when I ran out of that and their formula got a little funky I added straight bleach to my reso every week! Yee haw...... .5 as in a half ml per gallon............

Ca to N ratio of .8 and the N to P ratio of .66 and the K to P ratio is 4.17. I do believe some strains need a little more Mg and this is where the Epsom salts come in.

The smell is complex...sort of a sappy dankness, not a pinsol but a faint lemon essence without citrus tones but rather if you sliced a thin lemon wheel and left it out for a couple of days and it started to dry out. There is a petrol or rubber smell, not quite like certain Reislings smell like in the wine world. That rubberized smell is where the danker tones come in. Fuelish tones. This is framed, however, by a wet sappy fragrence, that smells fresh and is of a higher tone, while not fruity, or piney there is somehow a subtle sweetness to some of the odors. Perhaps from the younger resins...The plants are very sticky to say the least. They smell and look dank to the eye. The SFV OG resin glands dont stand up as high or as tall as the J-13 Ive previously grown, which are also just crazy frosted and sticky, however, there are glands everywhere. Its frosty as fuck. Its frosting on the underside of the leaves like crazy...

I am growing a Sour D cut right alongside and that stuff smells much more like skunk! I can clearly smell a skunk odor in that stuff.......

I draped a couple of pieces of sketchpad paper over my hat when I shot these tonight to reduce the effects of the glare of the hps. Two pieces of paper seem to help I might try more sheets to see what changes with the shots. I am not a photographer and I know its stupid to have some sketch paper draped over your head, but I figured wtf, and hoped it would help to take better pictures for you guys to see better example of what things really look like. I dont advocate that you should tape or drape 18 inch by 24 inch sketch paper over your ballcap/hat for picture taking!

The last 2 pictures are from the dead center of the tray under the 1000K where the bleaching has occured. Check it out!!! I have the lights up as far as possible and on a light mover!

These pics are of my SFV OG cut. The pics were taken last night. I'm on day 66 and decided to cut these last night because there was a branch nearby that was infected slightly with PM. Figured I'd cut everything near the affected branch to avoid losing anything to PM.

Shit is pure fire indeed. Sticky as anything I've seen or felt. The smell changed over the past week from a lemon pledge stank to a diesel fuelly scent. Very pungent.

I will have to post some shots of what is still on the plant. Some crazy ass OG colas. Some are foxtailing like MAD, and others are straight up pine cone shaped and dense as fzuck.

Great shots of your SFV OG OG ONLY! That looks almost exactly like my stuff! I also just noticed the first signs of PM. To make it 7 weeks in before seeing makes me happy. The bay area and Northern Cali have been hit hard by PM this year. MY grow -op is clean by the way! I do the best I can to fight this shit and that is exactly what PM is ....shit.I am on day 52 so I will be pulling early as well.....freaking sucks. It looks like a 70 day strain for the truest expression of the plant.....so sticky.....

Hey OGONLY do you know the origins of your cut?

Yah my SFV was 95% wiped out by PM over the summer. It started about the third week on a couple of the 5 plants. It was only those 2 affected until what seemed like the last week. Come chop time sure enough all were coated in the shit. Some worse than others but it ruins the taste even if there's a hint of it. I had such high hopes for that crop...was so bummed.

Decided to be much more diligent with preventatives this time. Sprayed with Einstein oil (neem oil) 2 times a week for a 6 week veg. Also sulfur burned 4 times in flower ending on day 21. Didn't see PM until 2 weeks ago. It started on 2 Skywalkers OGs which I'm not surprised about. They had so many leafs packed so tight and the branches grew tight together as well. Decided not to run the dehumidafier one night, 2 nights later hello PM.

Well it just started showing on the SFVs a few nights ago. Very light and only on leaves. I'm paranoid when I see the shit now. Cut everything and anything affected with it. After seeing how fast that shit moves in I'm not taking any chances.

I'm hoping to be able to take them to around the first which will be like 72 or so days. They are showing moslty cloudy with about 5% amber. Been flushing for 5 days.

As to the origins of the cut...my good friend got started a few years ago under the tutilige of a friend that has been growing for 10 years. He aquired the cut from someone he learned under. Supposedly it is the original cut that came to the SFV in the early 90's. Story has it that the guy used to sell it for $500 a clone back in the day. All I know is its dank and I'm very happy to have it. :)

Here are some pics from last night. That nug just came off one of those foxtail colas when I tried too lift it to get a pic. Check out the sap residue on my fingers from that little nug. The giant colas you see are SFVs also, but the nug structute on those is not as tight (they are in a different tray) as the ones shown in the first few pics. I did a little side by side but that's another story. Rambled long enough though. Maybe will give details on that next time. Hope you like the pics...

Great picures! I have that same curl on the leaves where the light is most intense, some foxtailing showing as well at the 8th week, I also believe from where the 1000 hps is too strong!

Your resin is sick on those plants. Your right about your fingers. Holy crap they look sticky.

Thanks Snowblind! They are sticky as can be IMO. Having lots of fun watching them age. Last night the big tops closest to the lights started taking on a purple look to them. The leaves are turning the same shade.

Still finding the slightest hints of PM showing on leaves though. Most are lower leaves and toward the outskirts of the trays. Surprisingly none of the most densly packed undergrowth (some buds laying on top of each other, trellis netting broke) has been affected...yet.

You bring up some interesting points and ideas regarding your feeding practices and just how OG likes to be fed IYO. I forgot about Epsom salts. I used them occasionaly over the summer but they slipped my mind. Will use them next run.

I like the idea of being able to feed calcium and mag (mag I hear is needed less than calcium at this stage) at low rates during flush. Looking for cal/mag with no nitrogen.

I was looking back at your pictures and plants look similar to mine except that your leaves appear a bit fatter right at the mid point. Looks like mine grow a bit longer also. The way you describe how yours smells is right on with mine though. Very thorough explanation, would say that describes mine perfectly.
