Really, I kinda wondered. When I saw the staggered branches I assumed they were clones and didn't ask you where you got your beans. So, is it possible I can find out where you got em? Or is a private/local seller.

I had an inkling my assumption of clones might have been wrong right after I posted, but I left it anyway. Somwhere I thought I remembered seeing that Durban grows in an odd way.

Didnt even dawn on me about the overwatering issue, doubt it though he got his plants pretty damn far, they'd be dead by now if he was overwatering. let them pots dry out till the leaves wilt a bit, when you're in flower they love air to the roots. I know I'm in hydro but I'll let the water level go damn near 6 to 8 inches below the roots, and that's how I get nice thick roots coming out the net pots. Can imagine it would be the same in soil.

I looked up the climate around the Port of Durban and it's way tropical rain forest kind of humid. After that I'd have to agree with you. It'd be really hard to overwater them.

Maybe it's some other nute thing or just another wierd "tick" in the Durban cycle.

I am very intersted in this grow. If I can grow Durban it will cut my weed costs way back. Luckily it's fairly cheap, can pick up a zip for $160.

just saw all these post! sooooo sorry guys!! thanks for all the info and help! so I bought some flora nova bloom and a PPM pen from blue lab, my tap water has a PPM of ZERO! so I did a few test on the run off and started to pump my ladies with tons of nutes! they came back and now the leaves are green but curling inward and some are TACOing upward, whats it mean !?!?! yea i love durban and more then that i love landraces, I got the beans from ILGM.com. i had 10 and 4 was females, the rest males and now composite :) but I'm going to read that link you sent me and ill post some pics later tonight. been feeding them the flora nova bloom and cal-mag have the PPM at 1800 and the PH flux from 6.0-6.8 so they can get a healthy feeding of all spectrums on the nutes. I also have some Green Cookies, GG4 and lush growing. my hydro store guy gave me a T5 light fixture for FREE! (the 4 bulb one) and 4 free T5 lights! ( it was his friends and they just shut down their grow) so LUCKY ME! I'll be installing it today but my veg room isn't big enough to put the fixture in there horizontal so I was thinking about setting it up vertically, any thoughts guys??

Free t5s, that sick! I'm no indoor grower yet but wouldn't a verticle increas the yield and make some secondaries into primaries? Sounds good to me.

That's really cool of him, and refreshing not to get the salesman hype.

It would make sense that you could get more developement under the skirt. What about running it horizontal on the side, maybe get that light spread around a bit more.

Yea it was super cool of him, and I wish I could run it that way. The grow space is 33 inches across and 8 ft high, the fixture is 47inches across, so its really not an option as I wish it was :(

I haven't checked to see if you have a grow diary yet. Sounds like an interesting space. Would love to see it.

This is my veg room, with my T5 fixture ( gifted to me by my hydro store guy) we have Green Cookies, Lush and Gorilla Glue 4. All being grown in FoxFarms Ocean Forest, in 3 gal fabric pots, feeding with floranova at 550 PPM and keeping the PH swinging from 6.0-6.8 so these ladies (I hope lol) get all their vitamins :) any thoughts or advice feel free to let me know! I'll update my flower room later on :) thanks guy!

Thanks!

I'm feeding the ones in flower 1800PPM, only cause when I checked my water and the run off it was at 0ppm and the plants were almost dead. So I started to pump them with nutes. Now the run off is at 700ppm. But they are coming back. The ones in the veg room I'm feeding 550 ppm and the run off is 320ppm, so kinda low? Lmk what you guys think!

Hey guys, so here's some pics from my flower room. Notice the green leaves curled down, the dry yellow/browning on some leaves and the yellow specks on the green leaves. For those just joining this is my grow book, this is my flower room (pictured here). I had a few problems in the start with my water as it had zero PPM and I lost about 3 weeks of growth trying to figure out what was wrong. Now I have correcte the problem but it seems a new one has come up. I check PPM and PH daily with Blue Lab Pens and clean/cal my pens daily.

I have Durban position in flower, setup is

Both plants are sprouted from Reg seeds, they are not clones.

2 fans
1 inline fan for cooling/smell
1 400W HPS light with 19inch reflector
Growing in FoxFarm ocean forest SOIL
Feeding with Cal-Mag and FloraNova Bloom
PH 6.2-6.8 so plants can get a full speck of alll nutes.
PPM 1800 (I'm currently pumping them with food because I realized they we're without the correct PPM for more than 3 weeks)
RH 50-60%
Day time Temps 76-82 (highest at noon)
Night time Temps 68-75 (usually running at 72-73)

I just transplanted into new 10gal pots roots were super white and healthy looking. I have a pest control plan in rotation and a foliage feed plan in rotation weekly.

Any thoughts on wat could be going on?? Any info or the mods or EXP growers would be greatly appreciated !

Flush her out dude, imo ppms are way way too high, id have it at 900 to 1000, when I did soil I'd only feed twice in bloom, week 3 because the receptors are most active, and week 6 as a bulking phase, at times I can see a low dose feeding in between those weeks and even plain water feeds as it will help rinse out the excess salt build ups. To me here it looks like nitrogen toxicity when you see how the leaf tips curl in. I'd flush it out and not give it nutes till you see it line up a bit

Thanks bro!

I only feed so much because she was dying, did get any nutes for 8 weeks because of PPM meter, didn't have one and my water has zero PPM, just found that one out, I'll flush right now!!

It’s been awhile, but here’s and update on my grow

The flower room is holding

Durban posion (lagerest plat in the front of photo)

Then a Gorilla Glue as well as Green Cookies and some random strain called Lush

Running a 400w HPS with a 19 in reflector, PH 6.7 and 1000 PPM, growing in one black 7 gal plastic pot and 3 fabric 3gal pots with FFOF. RH is 50-60 % temp is 72

Then in my veg room I just lollipops my plants running a 4 bulb T5 4ft fixture in 3gal fabric grow pots. Ph is at 6.4 with a 550 PPM growing in FFOF. RH is 60-70 % and temp is 78

Strains include

Gorilla Glue

Green Cookies

Lush
