I would of made a crucial mistake picking my mother plant pre harvest. Its faster and easier to just clone everything at 3 weeks and flower. No reason to waste all that time revegging.
That may not have come out right. What I mean is this : Say you harvest today and start revegging all your plants. It might be another 4-6 weeks before you have a rooted clone of the winner. If you had everything already cloned, you saved 4-6 weeks. You can taste the finish product one hell of a lot faster if you take your clones on day 21 vs taking you clone after wasting all that time revegging.
I like to pick the best 2-3. Even though I can usually pick the best before it's even done drying, sometimes I might change my mind after a month. And sometimes they are just both winners with different great attributes.I just clone everything around week 1 of 12/12 and wait till harvest to determine what I wanna keep. By then they are large enough to cut up into multiples for the next run. The losers go outside or cut up into compost
Good things come to those who wait applies here. That may not have come out right. What I mean is this : Say you harvest today and start revegging all your plants. It might be another 4-6 weeks before you have a rooted clone of the winner. If you had everything already cloned, you saved 4-6 weeks.
I'm not even high, and I have no idea what you are trying to say. How does not taking clones before reveg save years of anything? The clone you make before flower is the same as the clone you made after wasting 6 weeks revegging.Good things come to those who wait applies here.
There has to be some documentation of the potency, yield and flowering time differs even with the same plant.
So this could save you IBL hunting for years.
I'm not an expert at IBL and I would think the best of the harvest would cut creating the perfect IBL in less time.
I guess you'd have to grow all the males to full harvest then regenerared the best from that based on male flowering characteristics, potency, and it's disease & mold resistance.
I didn't make it far smoking on that...
Damn I know I got 4 hits on it but it barely looks lit
Shame I set it down like a rookie lol

Outdoor and clones indoors may run into aI just clone everything around week 1 of 12/12 and wait till harvest to determine what I wanna keep. By then they are large enough to cut up into multiples for the next run. The losers go outside or cut up into compost
I noticed the indoor and outdoor performed different.I just clone everything around week 1 of 12/12 and wait till harvest to determine what I wanna keep. By then they are large enough to cut up into multiples for the next run. The losers go outside or cut up into compost
You can't guess the best plant pre harvestI'm not even high, and I have no idea what you are trying to say. How does not taking clones before reveg save years of anything? The clone you make before flower is the same as the clone you made after wasting 6 weeks revegging.
Who doesn't clone all in a pheno hunt? That's dumb. Just clone all of them and flip asap. You can't guess the best plant pre harvest
Most only clone a few from the entire seed planting.
Once again you'll not know until post harvest which plant to clone.
Inbred linesWhat is ibl hunting?
Oh I see, you are pheno hunting to make f3's. Still no reason to reveg. Just keep clones of every thing until you whittle it down to your best 10 female and best 10 males. Then you need to breed each male to each female and keep track of them. Now you have 100 packs of seeds. Then plant 100 of each pack. That's 10,000 seeds. Don't forget to clone and label everything.Inbred lines
Where every plant grows the same.
Mine are F2 Garlic bud.
It's a tedious task and can lead to genetic development that was a waste of years because you picked the wrong plant to work with from the beginning.
This is how it works — If you don't clone every plant, the plant you didn't clone is the keeper. You can't guess the best plant pre harvest

LOL every time. This is how it works — If you don't clone every plant, the plant you didn't clone is the keeper.
Very true. Also, just because a clone is the best keeper doesn't mean it's the best breeder. I've made seeds from sister plants where the seeds from #2 made better offspring than the seeds from #1 keeper. This is how it works — If you don't clone every plant, the plant you didn't clone is the keeper.
Tried that ... clones did not all takeWho doesn't clone all in a pheno hunt? That's dumb. Just clone all of them and flip asap.
