Adjusting the light level doesn't seem to make any difference though. I turned light down to 10w output and it made no difference. I was wondering if over watering and having the media too wet was the problem? Ones at the back aren't as bad, but they drain better than the ones at the front, which are worse looking.

Clonex is a banned carcinogen where I live, so I don't know much about its use. I haven't heard about spraying it on leaves. Is that a common practice? Are you using any other chemicals?

Yeah they have different products though, I use all 3 on my clones

Or sometimes I use none and just stick them in the cloner, sometimes I just do pot stickers

Kinda depends on my mood when I go to clone lol, they usually do the best / root quickest with the combo of all 3, but simpler methods do just as well

i have always been doing my clones directly in soil or in a glass of water.

most of the time with few everyday leds bulbs or kitchen/bathroom led bar or fluo.

in my experience you can slighty overwater the media first watering until the plant form roots so the cutting can pull enough moisture. too dry media will make cuttings leaves drop way faster. media will usually dry fast enough in small cup from evaporation alone for when the roots start forming within the first week.

i'm having similar result in 15 days in soil in term of root growth vigor with clonex gel that i replaced with coating the bottom of the cutting with a little honey and then watering with aloe vera

i usually don't even need to spray my cutting or use a dome

I think you have your answer here. Allow your pots to dry back between watering. Going forward, you can amend your growing medium to allow for better drainage if you like or need to water/feed more frequently.

These were extra cuttings that didn't make it into the cloner. I put the jar just like that, in the tent in the shade under the mother. After a week they hadn't wilted so I just left them there. A week later...presto! Must be magic idk.

Generally, what the deal is when making clones is you wanna have low light all right so it’s not focusing on vegetative growth top side it’s focusing it’s energies on root growth in the aeroponic side of whatever cloner you’re using low light slows and retards vegetative growth and spurs root growth instead
