Quality is my priority, as well. My GPW only takes my lights into account, over a 9 week period. I don't even know how many watts my exhaust, pumps, etc. take.

I am thinking the only way to hit the 2 GPW area would be to go vert? Can you realistically hit 2 GPW horizontally? And I'm talking OGs and Kushes here, strains not notorious for their yield.

I kinda meant the thread to be more of like;

1. This is what I am doing now to get this GPW
2. These are the changes I am making or what I am experimenting with
3. These are my results... My modifications seemed to have netted me X increase in GPW

Agreed, might not be the best method of measurement, but it is the only somewhat standardized measurement I know of in the grow-world to communicate yield. Everyone goes by GPW, so I used it as my unit of measurement.

If that's where your at consistently then IMO you're right on point

IMO those 2 & 3 gpw stories are just that.

2 gpw is almost 4 1/4 per 1k hps
3 gpw is almost 6 3/4 per 1k hps

I've gotten a few bumper crops but never close to that, maybe they weigh everything, lol
I've 3 or close to 3 several times but...........

Ive heard stories about the newer DE's getting nice yields but cannot honestly answer regarding them

About, anywhere from 1 GPW to just below 1.25 GPW seems to be the average. My new goal is 1.5 GPW horizontal, but plan on switching to vert after I do some more research/planning and get more info from people experienced with vert.

I know that 2.5 GPW is possible with vert, but I would like to know the average rather than the higher percent-tile. What IS achieved, rather than what CAN be achieved.

What are DE's? A brand/manufacturer, obviously, but can you give a little description and full brand name? Why are these lights giving a superior yield to other lights/ballasts?

Was this horizontal? What strain? I can't run Blue Dream or anything like that, so I'm dealing with medium-low yielding strains. Quality must be top-shelf and undeniably superior, for me.

What would you say was the single largest factor in breaking the 2 GPW mark? Would love to pick your brain and see if I can adopt and employ some of your methods/techniques.

DE stands for double ended. Not a particular brand, all of the larger companies have their own versions. The bulbs are fired from both ends rather than the traditional screw in hps.
