Hey gromies. My friend is sending me a cmh bulb for free. It has no box or label. all I know is that it is a 315w. And it came with a sun system 315w vertical fixture. Does anyone know how to tell what spectrum bulb it is just by looking at the bulb itself? Is there a physical difference between 3k, 4k, 10k etc bulbs? I seen it over FaceTime so I can't post a pic yet. But it's coming in mail anyday now and I will post the pic asap. I tried to Google it but came up short. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

It will probably have a model number stamped on the bulb somewhere. The Sun System models came with a Philips 3100k mostly, which is really the only bulb you need for that kind of fixture.

It's probably the 3100K lamp. It's an all in one spectrum good for veg and flowering.
If you want to customize your spectrums for various stages of the garden's life and also have less wear on a single lamp a 4000K-4200K would be for veg.
Your 3100K is flower but you can also get a little more red in a 3000K
And a finisher for the final 2 weeks would be a 10,000K spectrum.
