I've always read that in coco extra Ca is needed and less K. I've grown in coco with regular GH nutes before and just added a bit more CaMg, without issue. However, in the pursuit of getting the ratios just right I've been looking into coco-specific nutrients. The difference in K was more than I expected. Here's Canna's lineup:

Aqua Flores (Canna's hydro flowering mix):
A: 3-0-6
B: 0-4-3

Canna Coco:
A: 4-0-1
B: 1-4-2

As the A+B are always intended to be mixed in equal amounts, that sums to 3-4-9 for the Aqua, 5-4-3 for the Coco. The threefold difference in K here is huge. Does the coir really release enough to offset this? Has anyone experimented with various coco ratios, and have you found it's really unnecessary to add the K found in most hydro nutrient blends?

I have found that extra K is not needed. However, I don't follow recipes very well and don't use hydro shop nutes often, so I can't speak to that. Calcium is truly the variable that people need to pay attention to, not both Ca and Mg so much.
