Yay! Officially into the true flowering zone. It's been a while. I added in my PK booster(Shine) yesterday at 1g a gal(.2EC increase per gal at that rate) and we are cruising along. So I threw that in and then my base(HD) at 4.4g per gal. I hit my target EC of 1.4(700). Ph 5.8. That should max out my nutrition regiment for the run!

Haha can't wait till week 4 now. Was just tending to the nursery and took a shot of the Pure Afghans top roots again.

This is the hardest solo cup I have ever felt. It feels rock hard and the cup itself is bulging. If it breaks the cup I'm going to laugh!

It's a container filled with anhydrous calcium chloride. It has a false bottom with slits in it to collect water in the true bottom. The stuff pulls moisture out of the air.

That's the top of the container. If you zoom in you'll notice the calcium chloride is wet(it came dry obviously). Eventually when it collects enough water it starts to dissolve until you are left with a cup of water that you dump out, and then you refill the top with more anhydrous calcium chloride(they sell refill bags).

Nice. That could work perf for my little room. How long does it take before you need refill bag? Home Depot? Ace hardware?

I got them at home depot. I'm not certain on exactly how long they last but mine are still just a bit wet on top of the calcium chloride. Not even any water at the bottom yet so I'd imagine they go for a good amount of time. I got three 10.5oz containers to put in different parts of the room. They do sell a 64oz version for $10 that is advertised to last for 6 months.

:D With those kinda vibes how can it not turn out good!:smoking: Good to have you around these parts.

Got some random shots last night and this morning. The stalks are looking good underneath. Chocolate Hashberry's on the perimeter and DeadHead OG(from seed) in the middle holding down the fort in her hempy bucket.

DeadHead OG Mamma! Cut her off the top of the one in the flowering tent and saved her before flip.

I love her. Resilient as hell. She even survived that terribly high EC roots organics coco palms as a young seedling. It came to me measuring at 2.2EC FULL OF OCEAN SALT. hahaha man that was a stroke of bad luck but that's in the past now. She loves nutrients. Probably the heaviest feeder of the bunch, but she doesn't show finicky signs if underfed unlike one of my Deep Purple phenos. She has been by far the easiest plant and most vigorous to care for compared to the Deep Purples and Pure Afghan. I will say the Chocolate Hashberry's are damn strong too though, but I have not had extended veg time/clone time with them so it's hard to say.

Forgot to add this one in too. Another one of the Dead Head OG cuts. She's a side cut where as the one above was the top.

Good to be around, soaking up all the knowledge and good vibes the farm has to offer! Got a question: do you notice a difference between top and side clones?

Right on! I do notice a minor difference. The clone that was a top seems to be more bushy where as the side clone is less so. The top also seemed to take off a bit faster but she was much larger to begin with. I'd think with decent veg time on both it would be harder to tell though.

One notable detail is the top just started to grow asymmetrical before cutting it where as the side cut was already completely asymmetrical when cut. I did both at the same time.

Ill have to pay more attention this time around. It seems like my tops take longer to take hold for some reason

Ya it's hard to say which ones do better because technique/environment/genetic differ so much between everyone's grow. I will say I feel like bigger healthy cuts will root faster than small lanky side branches that get less light though. In my space ideally I think I would LST a mom so that I can get a bunch of "top" cuts that have a good metabolism going since I'm only working with HO t5's in the nursery section.

I noticed that too, I took a few small cuts and they are working way harder to make it.
