Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'm at the point where I have the info just need to put it into action. Still have a couple weeks to get my plan in order. I plan on drying the whole plant in the back of the groom where I have complete control of weather and humidity with my AC and deHuey. I am also seriously thinking of getting a couple of those curing jars with the hygrometer on top so I can monitor the exact rh during curing.

Alright It's been about a month since harvest I feel the cure has been going on long enough to give a decent estimate of my yield for this round. Mind you I have probably smoked about a half oz of this stuff int he last couple weeks because I ran out of my stash so the numbers are off. :D

The DeadHead OG in a 2gal maybe 2.5gal hempy alone yielded 136g or 4.86oz. Not bad at all. Cali Connections was not kidding when they said high yield.
View attachment 699549

The 4 Chocolate Hashberry's in 2 gal fabric pots yielded 299g or 10.68oz. On average each plant yielded 74g or 2.67oz. That being said the runt in the back right corner was far smaller than the other 3 CH's so keep that in mind.
View attachment 699548

I am very happy with this run considering I took a long break. I yielded a total of 15.53oz or 435g. That puts my GPW for this run at .725g per watt. Not bad! I'm sure with better canopy management I could have brought the GPW higher but Im not complaining.:smoking: Now my personal stash is back up!

That deadhead wasn't playing around! Very nice run JM! Iblearned quite a bit from your run, thanks for sharing! Looks amazing btw!

Ok gotcha....I was gonna do mines the same way hanging the whole plant....and you didnt remove any of the big fan leave either? in that case how long would it take to dry, leaves and all in an environment that stays at 50rh and 70 for temp?

My room was 50rh and 68° and it took just over 7 days, I hung mine whole with fans but I had done some defoliattion throughout the grow.

That's tough to say.

My environment was always low rh% (%1-%10) so my hang drying goes quick (5-7 days). But it would be slower than if i was wet trimming.

I would say you would need to experiment with your local conditions. Then you could adjust from grow to grow. Its hard to give answers when they can be so dynamic.

If you hang it whole and untrimmed you will find out how long the maximum drying time would take for your environment.

And yes big fan leaves stayed on.

That's wats up man....that's about what my dry room is reading now...you didn't find it a pain to trim the small sugar leaves dry?

I'm trimming now. Its the same amount of work either way, maybe easier dry because some will come off easier from being crispy on the tips. I wet trimmed my first plant harvested in Dec and I'm dry trimming this run. Once you get a flow going you're good to go. Its taking me awhile because I'm doing it an hour or 2 at a time.

Right on bro! Next run I want to dial in my nutrients a bit more and avoid that slight tip burn I got later on with the CH's. I'm starting to think that was from my PK booster.

I don't like trimming wet AT ALL. It's super annoying to me. I trim off the big fans and that's about it and then trim the sugar leaf when they are dry(7-14 days for me)

It's time fellow brethren! I've been very busy but I started up a new run:cool:.

I hope everyone is doing well:smoking:

So I got things started early and took pictures so let's do a little fast forward review of my run so far. About 8 weeks ago I quickly picked up some cuts because I noticed my stash was running low and I did not have time to pop some seeds. I know it was a bit lazy of me haha, but oh well.

I'm running some DHN Royal Highness which I believe is Royal Kush x Trainwreck. We shall see how this turns out. I'm almost 4 weeks into flower and things are looking great. This run has been very simple so far.

I am still using Veg+Bloom R/O as well as Shine. All 4 girls are in 3.5 gal Coco Hempy buckets(not filled to the max). I installed the floraflex caps because I intended to set up a drip but ended up not having the time while they were small and didn't feel like wrestling with them when after they grew so I've just been hand watering them daily instead.

I'm currently running my nutrients at about 480ppm or almost 1.0EC with a 5.8-6.0pH, but sometimes I don't check EC since I weigh veg+bloom anyway. In other words my tap water/RO mix comes in at 150ppm or .3EC and then I add about 3g(2.8g) of vb base and then .5g of shine. When I hit week 4 I will slightly lower the base and slightly increase the PK. I'm running both of these nutrients below their recommended guidelines because I'm trying to play into nutrient build up in the medium and it seems to be working quite well.

Day 1

Week 1 veg

Week 2 veg

Week 3 veg

Week4 veg

As you may have been able to tell I ran into what I believe was some odd type of cal/mag def or lockout during veg but I didnt change a thing and it worked itself out over time. I was told this strain can be finicky but not really sure what happened.

Week 2 flower:D I know I missed week 1 flower pictures but oh well. They stretched way more than I thought they would. That’s what happens when you run a strain you don’t know.

Week 3 Flower with lights off/on and a close up.

Almost week 4 :D

The resin is starting to pack on. I love it.

Ofcourse I had to get some root shots in here too.

Right on homie! I hear you man. The only reason I’m able to get away with 1x a day is because of the passive reservior the coco hempy provides. One day we’ll get around to it:party1:

Week 4 FLOWER

Yo! Just starting off week 4 of flower today. Definitely getting some nice stacking and resin production so far as well as a citrus/pine smell.

Currently hitting them once a day pH 5.8-6.0 with 2.8g of VB and .5g of shine. That should fall somewhere around 450-500ppm or .9-1.0EC with source water starting at 150ppm or .3EC.

I’m planning to drop the base down to 2-2.5g and raise the pk booster to 1-1.5g slowly between weeks 4-6. I’m looking forward to see the progress in the next coming weeks :D

Snapped a few pics right when the lights turned off. Gonna be heading into week 5 on monday :D. I’m starting to get some purple hues on the undersides of some leaves. Would be really nice if I get some beautiful fall like colors out of this run.

On monday I dropped the base from 2.8g to 2.4g and rose shine from 0.5g to 1g:opps:. Aiming to drop the base at week 6 to 50% or about 1.25-1.5g. Maybe increase shine to 1.5g but I may just leave it at 1g. We’ll see how they are doing then.

Week 5 FLOWER

Alright everyone today marks week 5 or day 35 of flower and I'm pretty happy with how things are turning out. I took kind of a chance on this strain Royal Highness but I think the bet is paying off. I can't wait to see how she looks in a few more weeks.

Currently riding my pH at 5.8-6.0 as always. Veg+Bloom(Base) has been lowered to 2.2g per gallon and Shine(PK) has risen to 1.25g per gallon. With the coco hempy style I'm still able to feed them 1x a day which is nice since I'm hand watering at the moment.

I’m glad to be doing another run as always! This Royal Highness is stacking nicely. I really like the purple colors starting to come out and I’m interested to see how much more it changes color or if it’s about done.

Whats the lineage? Not something that would have grabbed my attention unless i saw her grown out like this. Beatiful. Really nice looking cut. And obviously with the noodle master at the wheeel shes looking great. I've been really liking straight coco btw. No need for perlite. I can tell the more i water the more they respond. I cant wait to get an autofeed setup going. It will also free up some much needed time to update the grow.

It is Royal Kush x Cali Dream x Trainwreck. I’ve been mistakenly saying it’s from Dark Heart Nursery. That’s where I got the cuts but the breeder is Humboldt Seed Company. Supposed to be high yield with high resin content and supposedly finish within 55 days or 8 weeks. That would be only 3 weeks left on this grow. Not sure If I buy the last part but we’ll see. I’m shooting more for 9-10.

Glad you are liking 100% coco. It’s glorious and I can tell you like it with the sweet flower shots I saw from you lately.

Im sure you can pull it at 8 weeks, as long as you like em green! Alot of these guys pull at 8 for extracts. Let me asj, wgats your favorite coco? The botanicare bricks are ok but you really have to buffer the shit out of them or you get stunted growth for a week or two.
