Yes the buckets and PVC are just for drainage. The plants are elevated so they can drain completely. A sump pump on a float switch empties the system as needed.

Yeah i hear ya. it was a tough decision to make the switch over with that in mind but I wouldn't turn back.

A little different nowadays, white 8gal sqaure pails are only $13 online.

i stick right around 12 ml/g most of flower with a peak of 15 around wk 7.

veg i shoot for about 1.8 EC.

don't recall exactly but not really that high. above 0.5 g/w though.
