coco vs soil or both?

Hello farm! so im growing in soil and thinking about switching to coco or possible a 50/50 mix of coco and soil. Wanted to get everyones opinion, so lets begin.

My last grow was 1-0-0 soil with added %30 perlite. Towards the end I had to flush twice because of the salt build up from nutrients. But I had amazing results I haven't tried 100% cocoa yet but I hear cocoa drains easier but dries a lot quicker I had to make a gravity water supply when I went on vacation due to how fast soil and perlite dried. Something to think about if you plan on going on a vacation for a period of time.
