I love this shit... a real scientific paper, but it was written by a grad student

seems the 50 % Sphagnum 50 % perilite won out all the brocc tests as well as corn.

the nutritional anlaysis, where they take a tissue sample and centrifuge it, and then mass spectr. it.... was interesting, will have to read more in depth when i have time

Thanks Jal, v. interesting, maybe i'll go with peat next time..but it f* up pH more often and turns into a jello bolus more often than not

Thanks JK - very interesting reading, although I think of limited value to us lot because it does say something along the lines of "some strains handle coir better than others" - and clearly cannabis does. Nice to see Canna coir performing well though.

Also it seems that they did these tests from seed not clone? Which means there's probably genetic variance between the treatments - although it seems so obvious I must have missed something.
