ANother thing about that press.......Am i missing where it states PSI? 2400 total, or psi? my t-shirt press for 250 does 1200 pounds of pressure.
Not unfounded. I just can't site the exact laws. Go ahead and google OSHA guidelines, and whatever else might apply to a company distributing these goods if your still interested. I am not going to pretend to be an expert, however what I said is by no means unfounded either. At least how I understand it.
Ok, this unit is almost there........
That plate is sooooooo small. What is that 2x4"? Ridiculous, imo. You are going to spend multiple thousands of dollars on a machine that only presses about 2 grams of bubble? My hair straightener will do that, NO PROBLEM.
I guess one more thing I would add to the list is a 5x5 plate minimum.
It states 2400 lbs not 3000 like I thought. The plate size concerns me as well. They claim 7 grams of drysift or 5 grams of flowers per press. Press takes 8 to 10 sec. If you pre load a bunch of tea bags and wrap in parchment so you have them all pre made I think you could press out a ton of bags in a few hours. They say the plates are small to get a good high pressure quick squish maximizing yeilds and quality. I don't have a clue just parroting the info the company gave me over the phone.ANother thing about that press.......Am i missing where it states PSI?
I have looked at these quite a bit myself, rosin seems to be the way to go for extracts imho. Doesn't get cleaner than heat and pressure. It seems like a quality machine and it better be fir the price they are askimg
They say 2400 lbs not psi. They claim other machines with larger plates don't generate enough pressureJust for reference, with my t-shirt press I can press up to 14g a press. (with a 4x4 plate)
You have to be careful. Some of those machines speck out what the psi of the pump/press/machine in total does. That is what worries me about that small plate...... In my mind, small plate = not enough psi.
I believe they are claiming 7g of drysift can be pressed in a bout 10 seconds yielding about 5g of product per press. I think once you get used to the machine and pre load pouches you can crank out some productI have looked at these quite a bit myself, rosin seems to be the way to go for extracts imho. The one you linked in your first post seems to be the top dog as it where. The only thing I don't like that much about it is the squish area looks really small, I believe I saw that you can get bigger plates though. It would take eons to get a usable amount 1 inch at a time. I would like to see them design one with a more dome shaped squish area, I think the oil would run better.

I think the same way. They have 90micron in Stock and getting 25 soon. 1000 pouches fir a buck a piece. All great points......
Now we have to consider our squish bags. How many more will you need? Can you get these right now, they were on major back order? Does that play into what kind of press one might want?
Not harping on anybody, these are all things going through my mind when I shop for presses.
I know they are trying to push their product that's why I was hoping posting this would bring someone out who has one and they could point me in the right direction. If you watch the video it looks like the are hammering them out in about 8 sec. A piece. My friend doesn't scrape anything , he takes the pouches puts them between chilled aluminum plates like shown in the video and works the paper for about a second and it all shatters into a pile inside the envelope. He then dumps the contents into the pileWell of course they are going to make that claim about everyone else, they have a product to sell:)
For anything beyond personal use, I think 5x5 would be a minimum. You have a point about preloading a bunch of bags and getting to squishing, but you would still need to factor in the time value to load and then scrape up a bunch of little packets.
So let's say it takes ten minutes to load a pouch with 5 grams of drysift and press it ,which is probably much longer than needed. If your yielding 3 G of product per press which is probably a low estimate. I think 14 G an hour is more than possible with an experience operator. If a guy can do 2 oz in an eight hour day which I think is a low goal I'd be at or near the production level I'm looking for. They claim quick high pressure low heat in smaller runs is the key to top quality and of course top quality starting materialwell, that seems like a pretty slick method:) here i was being a chump with a razor blade trying to scrape my goop up.
I here that. I've looked into the closed loop vac oven option and it's more money but that's not what's holding me back on that it's the demand in my area I'm trying to meet. People are loving my friends rosin and there is already a few guys near by running cl vac oven setups. The main thing holding me back at this point is one bad review and lack of any good reviews. The work area size and lack of knowledge of what's availableIn the grand scheme of extract production...man give it a whirl, while that is one of the pricier models, in the big picture it is exceedingly cheap and sometimes you just have to eat a loss when stuff doesn't pan out if you are trying to catch an edge. Doesn't even come close to the outlay needed to hop into CO2 or even a really good butane setup.
Yeah I sent out a couple pms hoping tof find someone that has used a couple of them.Well give it a few days for everyone to see the thread and if we keep bumping it once in a while it wont get buried.gotta be someone here that has experience with one of the high end presses.
Thanks. Now comes the hard part the waiting game. Checking my emails ten times a day looking for shipping confirmation. Going to throw a squish party when it gets here and invite all my grower buddies over and press everybodys shit. The cool thing about rosin and a press is you can take a bud out of your bag and we can be dabbing it in minutesI like your gusto
