I vote the winners from the seed challenge go on an ULTRA awesome seed/Strain hunt somewhere to get something exotic in the loompa land? drinks are a must.

Take into account what is a keeper in the masses gardens. I'm willing to bet unless your rooms are full of yrs of pheno hunting that out of one pack you'd find something worth running and out of 2 or 3 it sounds like there's a keeper regardless who's genetics your currently working.
I would think this competition is to find the true keeper like the Lhb cut not just a keeper in gardens as you speak of because that is true but a keeper that the masses would want to have
If I gotta think of a few showcased here at the farm green dot and Wayne come to mind.
There are good beans in bag seed , hell grow your first seed from start to finish for the first time and that would be a keeper but if like me you had no idea what a clone was....lol..
This is just an interesting way to have a bunch of people phenol hunt together and a pretty cool idea thou I doubt it will ever see a finish just a few nice plants in gardens but can't blame the man for thinking outside the box , gotta envy it actually

At the very least it can't hurt with marketing and being I'm high and rambling and not really involved . Good luck all

I actually agree partly with sosrthc1 and his idea not to find a keeper in every average garden but a true keeper like the lhb but the Lhb ha taken so much focus off the whole line ups that feature her in there genetics one reason being every one is looking for that as a trait to keep. I do agree with you at the point of everyone can have a keeper but how does it stack up to the elites that's where I believe this massive pheno hunt has two roads to go down ultimatley the only one who really knows how the keeper will stack up to loompas headband is loompa so I do believe if the guidelines are followed and cuts are sent to him based on what ever rules are laid out it can work. However we need to specify wether a male could win or not what if it's just a straight frost monster male that lays the thc into a female or what lines are acceptable I believe the competitions intensions are to find the best plant found from loompas seed stock to continue the lines he's created and creat more elite seed lines but that does leave some open ground like is every line accepted or just the yeti line to fin the very best plant I believe every line needs to be explored like I've posted before loompa will lay some guidelines out I do believe some sort of general judge needs to be in place particularly a impartial judge and maybe the 10 best cuts ran a second time by loompa and his crew to see how they act in different hand then let them decide since they no the lines they know the traits and they know there elites it would be one of the only ways to have a true winner picked weather this takes off or not I believe it has done wonders for this section of the farm as even myself could look past not giving up loompa stock and decide to spread the normally hoarded beans to someone who might out grow myself or other for the greater good and true meaning of this competition one massive pheno hunt that being said loompa is one hell of a smart man and I'm sure him and his crew can figure a way to make a hunt like this manageable with so many different growing styles and years of experience there will be a vast difference across the board but take a guy who's only grown 2 or 3 times rooms not dialed in and he fucks up week 2 of veg and week 4 of flower but it comes out straight fucking kill I think that pheno deserves to be ran proper in a dialed in environment to see the true capabilities of that pheno and what it has to offer.

Theres lots of reasons to try something like this. But my main reasoning is just what I stated. Why have abunch of you grow independently and all find your keepers and then your done. Why not pool everyones manpower and everyones beans to the pool, grow them all out, and of course your not going to fid the 1 in 1000 or 1 in 10000 plants in every pack. So together as a group your odds increase dramatically. But when I say a 1 in 1000, im just talking about a 1 in 1000 off an f1 cross, Im talking a 1 in a thousand from a worked line that in the whole breeding process Ive already gone through at least 5000 females counting all plants from all generations. So a 1 in 1000 plant in my Yeti line, is going to be like a 1 in 100,000 in any other line that is just f1'd. Some of you still dont fully understand..... I want the dank! So with all of us we have a chance. Im even growing beans off my lines myself, of course my selections wont count as far as the comp goes, but Im going to be there right with you looking also. This is about the dank, fuck the politics, fuck the haters, fuck the people who dont like to work together.....this is a community effort and Im by no means going to be the only one with it. Its going to be around to be shared.

Time is going to be a factor, and so shortcuts are going to have to be made. thats another reason I suggested that as the earlier finishing people could start sharing and on a level you guys are on, you can start seeing the selection you each other made. And Im the only ne who loses. All my lines are going to be open to heavy criticism through this challenge. Wiuth that many beans, it will be well documented how these beans do. And Im not just talking about some dude with 10 plants in a closet. Your going to see in such numbers that your going to see patterns and variations as they expose themselves. Your going to see all the same shit Im going to see, except this is all public. The good, the bad and ugly will all be on display. But I believe in my work so I am confident. Its put up or shut up time, and Im putting up right now.

@ loompa the community seems to be talkin and the majority of us see this as a huge benefit not only to the winning cut being passed but the chance to see all the variations and there documented it's a chance for the guy with 10 closet plants to see what variations to look for an to keep. I for one think the contest had brought out some of the biggest hearted people on the farm I for one have been open with my beans and no of a few others the challenge as I seen it was to be able to look on a broader spectrum and see multiple variation in multiple lines at one time giving us a huge advantage not only by documentation but having the breeder of these specific line you "loompa" helping us notice traits in plants to maybe look further into and a chance for us all to have someone tell us no that's not really worth keeping. I believe thAt that is one of the biggest bennifactors of this. You know these lines we have a first hand experience in growing with each other for a change instead of a cock swinging contest yes I'm competitive just like the next man but I apriciate a nice fat rolled up paper full of grade a dank and that's what I believe we all need to focus on is the community coming together in one collective effort to be able to find that.

as with everything else, some will always find something to fuss over. it's what they do; it's how they live their life...

as for me, i will grow out my beans thinking i am a part of something bigger: to find the dankest of the dank. that's what i'm after... period.

since i started smoking the herb in 1966, i have been in search of the very best... hell, in 1970 i spent six weeks in Colombia trying to find the punta roja...

i am taking this opportunity seriously, as it is the very best chance i will have to find the unforgettable and to have it in my little garden.

i'm hoping the drama queens go somewhere else for their jollies and leave the serious pheno hunt to us lovers.

so far i have two fems out of the first pack which are cloned and went in the bloom tent on 7/4... and i have ten seedlings that are on their third set of leaves - all are Yeti f3's.

i am so jacked just to run them! now i gotta get a hosting service to post pictures...

Thanks Loompa, Great to be back in the Comp. I know your girls will be happy, just hope we can find that special girl. Peace Bro;) Glad to be a part of it....

what up canappa i believe you running your nft system is a huge bennefit as we can have a idea of what and how the loompa lines run in different mediums and you have your system dialed in like a mofo so i believe you will kill it with these loompa beans man please do the siver bubster justice hahahaha even though there not sold out i believe that there straight kill to work the pre 98 bubba and the socal mk i wish i had a few more of the purple dogwoods id send those to. i hope you enjoy the package im sending out today man i just wish i could help you out more as i believe you have your system dialed in and we all get to see these lines worked properly in a true hydro system the knowledge that will be learned is more valuable to us as growers than me popping a few extra beans. take care man and ill pm you some info later on today......
