So I finally harvest my plants and hung them up. I have all my fans off, lights off, got an 8” carbon filter exhausting air out, the AC set to 69 :) and humidity is at 55-60

So wait 3 days, check to see if the snap, if they snap they’re good to go for a trimming?

Maldonado how long can I keep the m drying? If I need to leave them past 3 days what environment conditions would I need?

Three days, that’s too soon. Plan on 7-14 depending on the plant. Watch for the first signs of any kind of mold, like fine threads or mini cotton tops, mossy odor. Your numbers are right, indirect fan circulation would be good too. Cheers

What smells should I be looking for throughout this process. Currently it smells like dying wet leafs, I don’t smell my buds in the air.

Environment:
Night Temp 64-69 Day Temp 69-70
Humidity 60-65 Set to 55.
One fan is on that’s moving left to right or right to left, which ever way feels right? Oh they’re blowing above the drying plants.

Drying time will vary based on the size and density of the buds. If you can get the room down to 45 percent Humidity I would do that for the first few days and than bring it up to 50. I do not like to take a chance with mold and the lower humidity for the first few days seems to insure there is no problem. Like mentioned above, 7 to 14 days is more realistic. When the buds snap and do not bend you are good to go. If you take the buds off too early there will be problems. First being smell, they will never develop the smell they had before getting chopped. Also remember to cure correctly.

I remove the large fan leaves and hang about a week Then I cut the branches into 8-10" pieces and place in a brown paper bag for a week or two. Open the bag for a few minutes each day. When the bud snaps off the branch I trim and jar.

Man its hard to describe. Wet hay smell is ok, damp basement, earthy smells are not.

I have 2 on from across each other on low speed bowing above them and away, just to move the air around.

As long as the buds aren't blowing around. Just gentle breeze and low power extraction. The flowers will dry out too fast with too much air flow.
