Compost and linving soil mixture

Waz up fellas/ladies.wondering if it's good to add compost on top of just add water living soil/super soil to make it better I guess or would it b too much. Just saying cuz last batch idk looked like it needed a boost or unless my watering was off witch I doubt dow .let me know what yall think

you can add things, but not really compost. try things like worm castings and bat guano.
