Condensate Pump leftover runoff questions

I got a little giant condensate pump for my DTW setup. Fabric bags are sitting on 6inch tall trays that drain into the pump through hoses. The float switch on it is pretty high and itll only go on when a good amount of water fills the reservoir. And then it stops when the float switch goes back down but leaves alot of runoff just sitting there in it.

My question is, does it matter that this runoff is sitting there until next watering?
Will it cause bacterial/mold issues in the long run? Should the runoff go through a screen to filter solids out before entering the pump? I bought this to move the runoff out the tent and into the drain but half of it stays in the tent in the pump reservoir...

I would think it’s no big deal in the pump but in the trays would be a problem.
