it's kinda cool--a bunch of people, not just those guys, for several years now, have been racing against serious corporate money to map the genomes of various species of Cannabis to prevent--or at least complicate--the patents Big Ag seeks to put on the DNA sequences--like they have for corn and so many other agricultural crops. Once the first patent was taken out by an evil corporate interest, Phylos Bioscience turned to publishing all the genetic sequences of all the strains they could because IF YOU PUBLISH A STRAIN'S DNA SEQUENCE FIRST, CORPORATIONS CAN NOT PATENT THAT STRAIN.
