I have a cool mist humidifier in my 4x4 that works well but leaves a white residue. Does this happen with the warm mist humidifiers as well?

More than likely it will happen with either set-up, its probably minerals from hard tap water. If you use distilled or R/O water in the humdifier that shouldn't happen.

Im headed out to purchase some distilled water.....I have the same problem in my grow room. I am on the 3rd humidifier, but all have left a residue so far
