I definitely did scope it out and plan on watching that documentary you mentioned.
As for movies, I love to go out for a 3-D or a big screen buster to the cinema, but I like the benefit of downloading a rip. The streamed versions rarely work out for me.

Friends definitely make a person rich beyond imagination, thanks!

My dad turned me on to this info/urban legend fact checkin site: http://www.snopes.com/

It rocks!!!

This is interesting so far.....I'm using utorrent to download..will let you know how it works out.
The axxomovie.org site has some vicious pop-ups to deal with and I still get a warning from Norton that the site has been listed as one that steals personal information. Can not recommend it to anyone without major protection.

I use rapidshare and speeddownload they combine very well!! I download some blu-ray movies in less than 20 minutes bro, movies up to 6 gigs!! i got all the soft and games that way too...I use to go with torrent but rapidshare is the shit :afroweed:

is there an alternate to speeddownload for people without a Mac?

yes there is one for pc...a quick search

there is a bunch of them its late now will check tomo see what are the killerz

peace...

Sorry forgot about older software out there, if your having a problem at Axxomovies.com them your antivirus is Shit no matter how much your paying.........I run Avast and never catch any virus. and older Xp should aslo run Malwarebytes - anti malware, and Super anti spyware and you will never get a virus. and all three are FREE!

I have been using this site for months and have never caught a virus or any thing from this site.....they do do a popup bounce to boost the advertising dollar but I just watched Up in the air w/ geroge clooney- not out yet and took all of 3 minute to pull down and throw up on the plazma.

I'm not even sure its The axxo site appears to be media companies F*****g with them, but I find i can deal with the Pop up by closing them immediately. think about the crap you deal with going to the theaters.

It was definitely a media company F up. The first version of the fake virus scanner was a bitch to clear up the new one I picked up on one of my boxes and I just blew it out and did a fesh install.

And I aswell strongly endorse Malwarebytes. I have yet to see it fail.

If anyone is having issue playing video files and you want a sweet light weight open source gift from the gods scope some VLC PLAYER http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I have used this for all my torrents and have never had any issues, even on the stuff WMP won't play.

^^^^^^^^^Simon's Cat...funny stuff!..hehe

Hey Rabbi, downloaded "Up In The Air" with George Clooney last night from axxo and the video quality was unreal bro! Maybe now I can learn how to use my new lightscribe dvd maker.

I liked the movie, but I noticed his character name was "Ryan Bingham". I thought it strange cause I have been listening to a west Texas born musician that goes by the same name. Maybe you guys remember him, he was on Austin City Limits about 5 months ago.
Anyway, thanks for the web info!!

Hey Coolest, still plan on sampling some Rapidshare, I'll go poke around in the next couple of days and see what it has to offer.:cool

Hot Damn! I guess we could start with which disks to buy.......

www.newgrounds.com

It's a pretty cool site with all kinds of flash games, flash movies, and art. They have some pretty entertaining adult only games that are hilarious.

www.invalid.com

If you are into art then you have to check this site out. It's a mecca of scattered art by freelance artists.

Thanks for those Malachi, might find a new avatar in deviantart.....I change mine about every month.lol

Hey coolest, went in the front door over at rapid.org. I know the rules, got a handle, learned about bandwith limits and happy hours. I got setup with jdownloader but still need a program to test links if they are good. All I see now are links with no button or way to access.
Hey Rabbi, man that axxo is great! Already downloaded 3 torrents with no problem. I figured out how to transfer my files to dvd writer and gonna give that a go soon.

Heres a great site for yall that aint already hip, you can watch all the brand new movies that are still in the theaters for free, no sign up or membership crap either. A lot of times they have movies that arent even released in the theaters yet as well! I watched "Taken" like 2 or 3 months before it hit the theaters on here. Sometimes the quality of the flicks arent great and sometimes theyre DVD quality, just have ta try different versions of each movie.
But I was hyped when I found this site, enjoy yall!

http://www.movies-links.tv/

Oh yea and the site is actually called Watchmovies.net but they change the web address every few months ta keep shit on the low, so if one day the address dont work just google where ta find new address for watchmovies.net and youll find it no prob.

That's the 3rd time someone's mentioned that site............I'm definitely on to it now.

Thanks Chief!

well rabbi.......got my dvd burn on...don't know if it will work in a reg. dvd player. It gets kinda complicated right there.
I've mastered axxo... the movies are like private studio copies, totally kick-ass. albeit they don't have a huge variety, I think they update.

Here's a cool website that is similar to the hacknmod, but different. Make cool things:
(all things related to LED throwies are way cool)

www.instructables.com/

If you guys want a really solid torrent site use this one http://www.kickasstorrents.com/

As far as burning your own copies on dvd that will actually play on a regular dvdplayer, I have found you are definitely going to need a good file converter/dvd author such as XtoDVD...I won't link it cause if you search the free download you will find better deals than directly from them, usually around $35. There really isn't any free software for these types of programs out there, and if it is free, it won't download all the way or leave a water-mark on all the free trials.
On kickasstorrents you can search their blogs for tutorials and member input.
Just know your p's and q's when it comes to torrent downloads, as I'm sure everyone here does all ready does know all about ip's and such..
