Currently I have plans for (2) 20 light flower rooms and (2) 10 and (1) veg room. Two flower rooms will be 1500sqft. Two others will be around 750sqft. Veg will be around 580sqft.
My question is on my calculations for BTUs when formulating for the rooms temperatures.
I have been using:
1kw= 3500BTUs
1kw=1000w
Room Area BTU = L x W x 40 (48 x 20 x 40 = 38,400)
Lighting BTU = Total Wattage of all lights x 4
So for 20 lights I would have:
38,400BTU from room size
20x1000w = 20,0000w
20,000w x 3.5 = 70,000 BTU from lights only
20,000w / 2 x 3.5 = 35,000 BTU from ballasts
Total BTU to cool room = 143,400 BTU
Can someone verify if I have done the right equation? if not please provide any advice or additional info on further steps. I know machines such as mini splits, dehu and co2 will emit additional BTU's. For things such as fan (700BTU?)
