So your sitting in your house relaxing. All the while your grow light is beaming down on your plants. Perhaps your humidifier is running to. Then there is the oscillating fan running back and forth. Oh and I forgot your exhaust fan. All this is money being spent growing your heavenly herb. So do you feel the cost is worth the reward? Does cost out weigh the harvest? Seems like the monthly bill would stack up fast. What is a general harvest indoor?

I live in Calley, and I only grow outdoors. When it comes to the rates, PG&E doesn’t play around! But any hobby it’s going to cost you a few bucks. Hell a bowling league probably will cost you 20 bucks a week.

It's an interesting question, especially in legalized markets where the price of flower in a dispo has fallen a lot. We're down to about $6/gram where I live. If you look at it simply as money invested versus grams harvested, my guess is it's a positive return, but only in the longer run. There are other ways to look at it. We can grow flower that we'd never be able to buy in a dispo: longer running varieties, unpopular varieties, etc. And there's just the hobby factor. I'm a fly fisherman...with the money I've spent on it, I could buy many more trout and stripers than I've ever caught.

I don't think about the cost these days anymore.....

I know what, for the most part anyways, is going into the cannibas that I'm smoking.....

That is my main concern......

Pgrs.....thanks anyways......

No matter what the cost it’s cheaper for you to grow and smoke your own herb,
1. You no exactly what is being fed to your plant.
2. You no exactly what your plant is being sprayed with.
3. You no exactly what substrate your plants are being grown in.
4. You no exactly what you are smoking is in it’s purest form for human consumption.
You could not pay me to smoke weed that is sold in a dispensary.
I told my stupid ass brother to stop buying shity ass joints from the dispensary, he didn’t and got sick from ? Who no’s what!!

Doesn’t matter the cost when it comes to your and your friends health and well being!!
That’s all I have to say about that!!!!

Remember, that $6 gram is at the bottom of the barrel and if they don’t sale it soon they have to throw it away, it’s utter and complete garbage!

I started growing to save money, even though I didn't know how much I would spend. The startup cost was the biggest hurdle. Once everything's in place and working, though, the overall cost for the amount harvested decreases with every harvest. Growing isn't only a matter of cost, however. There are also aspects such as the purity and high quality of home grown and the simple pleasure of growing.

$6.00 a gram is stealing where I’m at.

Exactly! That’s what I was wondering! Fucking diesel, holding out on his poor brother!
Fucker no’s I got weed!
He can have all he wants!
He won’t roll his own joints!!
I might be a pushover!
But I ain’t rollin joints for his lazy ass🤣

I grow indoor, but it's a small set up. I've looked at my electric bill hourly and it doesn't seem to go up any noticeable amount. I know it's something though. But even though I grow we still have a lower electric bill than everyone else I know. So for me it's worth it.

definitely cheaper and fun and cool and gardening of any kind will come in handy and a great skill to have,..
geez just the price of hash/honey/cherry oil alone here is enough for me to grow my own than make it 100 times better and waaay cheaper than the hashish as well,..
